Nothing But Cleansing Conditioner

I have been searching for some worthy competitors for WEN products (which I love, but let's face it, they are expensive and take awhile to arrive). This looked like it could be a great product, and I was very excited to work it into my hair, rub through, let sit and rinse. However, this is clearly not made for my type of hair. No matter how much rinsing, my hair was so heavily greased, it was like having a head covered in petroleum hand cream. However, this earned a second star by being a great shaving cream and body wash. It leaves my skin well moisturized and silky smooth!

I am writing this review based on a single use. The product is creamy and feels light, but it was deceiving. It was somewhat messy to use while showering because it is in a wide rim container rather than packaged in a bottle. It has a faint scent, which is not a fresh smelling fragrance, this was a turn off for me. After I washed and rinsed out the product, my hair felt greasy, it did not detangle my hair, was not soft and not fresh feeling. I then used a styling product which made my hair heavier. I would not recommend this product. However I will be giving "Nothing But Cleaning Conditioner" a second try, to be fair to the product. I will use less product for washing and will use a lighter styling product to see if I get different results. I will return with an updated review later. (3b Curl type)

Update: This is my second use of the product and, I must say, that I have a different feeling about the product this time around. I used less product to co-wash my hair and only used it on my scalp and used a conditioner to wash the rest of my hair. I made sure to wash it out really really thorough since it does have a greasy feel to it. Then I proceeded to use my regular products. I found that this is the best way to use the product because if you use it on the hair for cleansing the greasiness stays in your hair and does not rinse out well. I felt it cleaned the scalp really well and gave it some moisture, which I liked. However, I am not sure if I would purchase the product again.
