Beauty Without Cruelty Herbal Cream Facial Cleanser

I have sensitive skin and was looking for a facial cleanser that would not irritate my skin. Here is what I think about the BWC Herbal Cream Cleanser (in no particular order):

PROs:

Produces a rich, creamy lather

A little goes a long way, I don't even need to depress the dispenser pump all the way to get enough product out

Does not dry out my skin, I am very impressed with that

Natural ingredients and not tested on animals

CONs

It feels as if it is a bit hard to remove the product from my face, definitely not as easy as with other facial cleansers. It requires quite a lot of warm water to get my face to feel residue-free again.

SUMMARY:

I like this cleanser ok. My favorite feature is that it does not dry out my skin, contrary to many other cleansers out there, even those that claim they are suitable for dry and sensitive skin. The cleansing action is average, not better or worse than the majority of cleansers out there. I always follow up with a mild toner anyway to get rid of residual makeup traces... The scent is light but not necessarily my favorite my nose detects a slight plastic-y smell as well, probably coming from the bottle itself. Overall a good product with natural ingredients that I would use again.

I love it because it's a vegan product. I don't get too excited over face cleanser but to rank it,I chose 5 stars. It's a nice,creamy moisturizing-feeling cleanser. Not tested on animals and made with no animal products in it. If it smelled like food(fruit of any kind seems to be too popular,vanilla,too)I couldn't give it many stars. It's just personal prefernce but I don't like using and never buy products that smell like food. I sniff and buy or if it comes from online,I'll keep it,and use it,till I get something else,and won't buy it again. Love the vegan products,but would love ALL of them if they'd stay away from the food scents and go with (anything else,flowers,leaves,grass,...but maybe the producers of other scents test on animals,and so can't be used.If I had no choice and there was a cruel,animal tested flower scent cleanser or shampoo and a cruelty-free mango tangerine watermelon,I'd go with the fruit salad. But, usually there are choices,unless a certain brand tends to only have mango this and citrus that and coconut something else. But anyway,good product,faint and indefinable scent,but doesn't smell like food. Be kind to animals. Be vegan:)

I have been using this for 3 weeks now and after switching from the Neutragena acne cleanser, my skin is clearer and looks healthier. My skin feels great, like I am being gentle with it and as a result, I have not had any breakouts. It may not be the only product needed for everyone with acne, but I think could at least be worth a try and maybe something to use along with other acne washes. WONDERFUL!

I'm all about natural products, but something about citric acid doesn't agree with my sensitive skin. Or maybe product isn't PH balanced. Either way, if you have sensitive, dry to normal skin, I would suggest using a different product. I couldn't wash my face every day with this, but rather every two days, only using water and moisturizing in between. It was too harsh for me to use everyday.
