Jane Iredale Botanical Brush Cleaner, 4 oz

I was looking for a natural brush cleaner, for using between deep cleansing of my cosmetic brushes. Natural is very important for me, so I had to give Jane Iredale's a try. I absolutely love the smell of this product!

Depending on size of brush head (bristle top), all it takes is 1-2 sprays for a face brush. I pair this with a clean inexpensive microfiber cloth (works much better than a paper towel...no fuzzies!), and swipe the hairs of the brush in many directions on the cloth. I have noticed that the JI Botanical Brush Cleaner does help release more of the build-up on the brushes than using the cloth alone (dry or with plain water). Although, a bit pricey for just 4 oz of product, it does last a while.

The end results for me: I love the scent that remains on the brushes after dried, my brushes feel nice and soft to the touch and it doesn't irritate my dry/sensitive skin. I have used this on both natural (animal hair) and synthetic hair cosmetic brushes with equally happy results.

*I gave 4 stars, since the product is a little pricer than others available, and for achieving the results I get, a microfiber cloth must be used along with it.

I don't really know what to say about this product. I absolutely love the Jane Iredale line, especially since it's all natural. I recently found out I have an allergy to gluten, and I didn't realize it, but almost everything has gluten, even cosmetics. The brush cleaner smells nice, but I couldn't really tell a huge difference in how it cleaned my Jane Iredale brushes versus just using water. I guess it conditions the brushes and it is all natural, so that is a benefit, but I didn't see a huge difference in it cleaning them better.

I use this every time I use my brushes to keep them clean. It takes the color from eyeshadows out very quickly and easily, as well as my foundation brush. I LOVE this product, and I'm glad the sales lady talked me into buying it. As an added bonus this cleaner smells amazing! Every time I put my foundation on it makes my face smell great, without being overpowering. ;)

Great product to refresh cosmetic brushes between shampoos. It is quick drying and leaves the brushes conditioned and ready to use again. Use often enough to keep your brushes sanitary and clean. Remember, it is not a substitute for regular shampooing, but does allow you to shampoo less often.
