My twin daughters are almost 3 and several months ago we gave this a try and LOVE IT! We have used just about every detangling product know to man, all of them leaving me and especially my long haired, extremely curly tender headed caucasian daughter very dissapointed.We have tried California Baby Calming Hair Conditioner 8.5 oz (255 ml) and we loved it at first when her hair was shorter, but the longer her hair got, the more tangled it got and we soon had to use a TON of conditioner and it was still tangled. We have used just about every spray in detangler we've found in stores, if it had the word detangler, we tried it. ALL of them were dissapointing, all left her hair tangled and since I had to use so much detangler her hair would end up looking greasy a lot of the time, greasy & still tangled, not a good combination!
Finally we tried Johnson's Baby Shampoo No More Tears Shampoo/Conditioner Curly Hair, 13 Ounce (Pack of 2) and noticed a difference in less tangles JUST from the shampoo. So then I tried this Leave in Conditioner and instantly LOVED IT! Her hair went from feeling like a massive rats nest of tangles to feeling silky and soft but I could still feel tangles in her hair. However, after the bath we did the comb test and all of the tangles remaining were easily combed right out of her hair, I didn't get 1 cry from her hair getting pulled accidently from a tangle!
There are times when my daughters hair is just filled with tangles, just massive knots...her hair gets tangled just from taking a nap or playing so a full night of sleep has her hair in terrible knots. Sometimes her hair gets super-super tangled and it helps if I gently pull the tangles apart while she is still in the bath, so her hair is pretty wet and I've just applied the conditioner. I ALWAYS leave in the conditioner and I squirt it directly on her long/tangled part of her hair. Her sister has silky, soft curled hair ane never gets a tangle so I just use a pea sized amount in her hair...and that is just because she wants "magic conditioner" in her hair too, lol.
After her hair is combed, I use Pro-Line Just For Me Curl Smoother Creme 8oz to keep her curls in perfect ringlets and from getting frizzy, it also helps it stay less tangled, I LOVE that stuff!

My daughter has waist length ringlet curly hair. Its a nightmare of crying and gnashing of teeth to brush it out after her bath/shower. This conditioner swoops in and saves the day and my ears...not to mention my child's tender 4 year old scalp. Be aware that you have to use a fair amount so if they sold this in vats I would probably buy it that way. It smells great too.She does have a lot of hair though and its worth it to spare us all the agony. Nexxus conditioner is the only thing that works as well but, not at that price. This product has made the post-bath time hair brushing much much smoother and happier.I won't lie, I started using some in my naturally curl hair as well to help define the curls and lessen fly-aways.
