I have tried about everything on the market for my DRY, ITCHY scalp. I can't think of a time in my 36 years when my head didn't itch or have flaking. It was like an unwanted shadow, unable to shake loose of this burden, until now. I bought this at a beauty supply store along with a scalp massager and natural bristle hair brush (both are recommended for healthy scalp). Tried it last night in the shower and holy cow! It's has a pleasant odor, you can feel it working on the scalp (not meaning to sound like a commercial, but it's true), and the overall feeling of my hair and scalp was incredible afterwards. No matter what my prior attempts at trying to rid my scalp of this nuisance, it would always have the annoying scaliness...after last night's usage of this product, I was amazed when looking in the mirror when I saw what appeared to be a normal, healthy scalp. I had my wife look too, as I was skeptical after so many attempts and years of dealing with this affliction, and she saw the same as I did, a normal, healthy scalp. Only one use, too. Like the others have said, it's a little on the costly side, but if you have dealt with dry scalp like I have, it's worth every penny, plus some. I don't care if I have to buy a bottle a month, it works great and I don't plan to use anything else. It truly is magic in a bottle. Do yourself a favor and go buy this product. I am amazed.I woke up to an informercial about Wren, researched and found Hair One. I tried it for the first time and was a little skeptical because the thought of a cleanser vs. a shampoo was a little abstract to me. (I am a black woman, with full shoulder length, permed hair with a semipermanant rinse) who wants to make and keep my hair healthier. My use of Hair one: I wet my hair let it satuate with just water for 2-3 minutes, then I started to apply the Hair One, at first it just didn't feel right because I'm used to a lather. But when you massage it the hair for 2-3 minutes you really begin to feel the difference. After I had it all in there and finally combed it through, I felt the sensation of the tingles and the metomophsis of my hair going from dry and lifeless to hydrant and smooth to the touch.
I was so much impressed with this Sally's product, I got a discount card (lol, I never buy membership cards). I did not put any Hair One on after I rinsed it out because I wanted to see how it was just as a cleanser. FYI: I also use the generic version of Chi "GVP Silky Remedy" (a Sally's product) but did not use that on it either to get a bare evaluation of Hair One alone.)
I feel like my hair is brand new, now boggled down with products that are going to eventually dry out and also dry my hair. I would have never thought I would pay $11.99 for a bottle of hair cleanser, but I would definately recommend this product. My hair shows a difference with it, and I think it is worth it!My roommate has been using Wen for about a year, but I can't get past the pricetag. I recently ran into L'Oreal Evercreme Cleansing Conditioner, 8.3 Fluid Ounce on Amazon, and since it was only about $7 I thought I would try it out. I loved it the first time I used it, although the smell is way too strong (like old woman perfume). That first day I went onto Amazon to order more and it was no longer available check prime. I noticed on the page that the product has been discontinued by the manufacturerthis happens way too often. So I started looking into other options. And I decided to order this product. In the past I was hesitant to even spend $15 on a hair product, but since I had such great results with the other cleansing conditioner I decided it was worth it. In many ways it has been very good.
Pros:
Product smells nice and not too strongit's minty
Product cleans hair well
Feels very clean on hair (kind of like Head N Shoulders used to)
Cons:
My hair seems to stay wet longer after use.
This product arrived partly leaked out of the package.
I didn't want to bother with returns, so I just used it. When I went to use it I also noticed that the pump didn't work. As a result of having no pump I am using more product than I need and making a mess in my shower every time I use it.
The Biggest Pro:
I have not used regular shampoo in a few weeks. I have only used this and the other cleansing conditioner. It has been about 6 months since I've had my hair cut and I was really starting to need it. When I looked at my ends every tenth or so was split. Now it takes almost a minute to find even one split end. Somehow my ends have repaired themselves and reformed. I didn't even know that was possible. My hair looks so much healthier and it almost looks like I've just had a haircut. I didn't realize how damaging regular shampoo is.
If you are thinking about trying a cleansing conditioner please do. This is the greatest product I've ever used for my hair. I just wish I'd started using it sooner.
