(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM)Plain soap dries my skin and seems to leave a residue. At the urgent request of my Aveda selling sister, I tried this exfoliant. All those weeks of dirt and oil in my pores and on my skin were gently washed away. Aveda uses this `jojoba oil' in its exfoliant.

From Wikipedia, I discovered this: "This oil is rare in that it is an extremely long straight-chain wax ester and not a triglyceride, making jojoba and its derivative jojoba esters more similar to human sebum and whale oil than to traditional vegetable oils".

I'm not very careful about skin care, but after using this a few days, its strange how your face looks tighter and healthier (not to mention clean as heck). I have to admit that having a sibling in the health care products industry has opened my eyes up to a lot of good stuff. Its worth the price.

This product is only priced at $29 on the Aveda website. Don't pay more than you have to! That said, it is a very lovely product and worth the money, though not from this seller. Do your research, just because it is on Amazon does not mean it is less expensive.

My face tends to dry out in the colder weather especially my cheeks, so I needed to get something that would exfoliate and clean well. This does both and has been worth the price. It leaves my skin soft and ready for a moisturizer. Before I was putting moisturizer on top of dry skin cells and it just wasn't working for me. I would recommend Aveda Tourmaline Exfoliating Cleanser and plan to buy it again myself.
