Wen Ginger Pumpkin Cleansing Conditioner By Chaz Dean 16 Oz

Wen Ginger Pumpkin Cleansing Conditioner By Chaz Dean 16 OzLet me first say I love Wen products, have used them exclusively for the past couple of years. Ginger pumpkin smells great and made my hair look good, but I got 2 migraines the first week I used it.

I usually get migraines from food with the sweetener aspartame in it (like in Equal). But I was sure I hadn't eaten anything harmful, I'm very careful about that. I finally thought to check the ingredients on the cleansing conditioner (it was the only new thing I'd introduced that week) and saw something in it called aspartic acid. Googling it told me that's a main ingredient in aspartame. So if you're a person who is sensitive to aspartame, DON'T use this product. It guess it absorbs right through the scalp.

UPDATE: Make sure you read the comments on this post...I'm not the only one who has had this problem!

Oh, and interestingly, I tried to post this same review on QVC which is where I bought the product, and they refused to post it. I just got an email saying it didn't meet their criteria for appropriate product reviews. I guess the only appropriate reviews are the 5 star ones.

I, like everybody else, have seen the infomercials pretty much every time I have a bout of insomnia. I've been toying with the idea of trying Wen for a good long while. I finally ordered just this product rather than any "made for TV" combination of products.

I have lots of hair. It's wavy, dry, prone to flyways, and did I mention I bleach the bejeesus out of it. I use some pretty high dollar hair care products, Kerastase, and still I'm not universally happy with my hair.

I followed the directions, in that I used quite a bit of product to "cleanse" and left it on while I shaved my legs etc. I just rinsed, didn't repeat, and didn't put in an extra as a "leave-in" because I wanted to see what just "clean" Wen hair would feel like. I blow-dried without any product.

My hair feels fantastic~ smooth, with very few flyaways, and it took the straightening iron in a single pass, where normally it takes two to three. I can also feel that my hair is more resilient.

I'm not going convert to the church of Chaz just yet, but this product certainly does merit a longer trial period.

I usually have problems with hair shampoos, gels, mousse's weighing my fine, thin hair down. With this product it has not been an issue. The scent is also quite enjoyable. I just wish the price was a little more tolerable!

I normally don't write reviews however on this product I feel I must. Due to my aging hair, the coloring process and the styling procedure, my hair has seen better days. My hair was brittle and breaking so I desperately needed help. Wen has proven to not only repair the damage it has improved the condition of my hair tremendously. I'm very happy.
