Mastex Thermal Facial Sauna

This product is WONDERFUL and my skin has cleared from acne and scarring completely. I purchased this item because I no longer can afford my trips to the spa. (Much cheaper than some of the other portable facial saunas on here and in stores) So I did a little research and purchased some essential oils (100% natural lavender, rosewood, bergamot, lemon, and tea tree oil) to use in my steamer and make a facial mask. I use this steamer once or sometimes twice a week. I do suggest purchasing a bottle of distilled water and do NOT use regular tap! (too many minerals and harsh chemicals in regular tap water) The water takes forever to evaporate from the steamer and it really puts out steam once the water is heated. (Takes about 3-4 minutes to really push out the steam.) This one is worth $20 dollars and some...my boyfriend even wanted to try and it left his beard and skin so soft! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that you have to wait for the water to start to boil before the steam gets going. (Quiet, Steaming can last up to 30 mins without adding water, wide face mask for entire face, steady stream of intense steam, small and light weight)

I live in a climate that gets very cold and very dry in winter. I got this product because I needed something to help moisturize my face and inside my nose. It works very well. The steamer feels great and I've found it very useful for when I have colds, too. It really clears out the pressure when you're sick. One thing I really like to do is add one drop of tea tree oil to the water cup in the bottom. Not only does this feel good, but it helps heal my nose in winter and reduces my nose bleeds. If you are looking at this product for the skin benefits, this would also help clear up acne.

If I was going to be very nit-picky, I would say that the cord is a little shorter than I'd want. I've had to sit at my kitchen table or go find an extension cord. Also, I thought the product would steam more on it's own, but it really takes my breathing into it to get the steam going. I've never had one of these before, so I'm guessing this might just be what all of them are like.

I know that at my age, I probably could really use a facial, but I bought this as a steam vaporizer for colds and congestion. Put a regular vaporizer in the room and the benefits are minimal at best. With this, you're getting ALL the benefits of the steam, and don't have to worry about carrying and spilling a gallon of water. There's no mineral deposit build-up either. I've got COPD,and when I need a little moisture in this dry, Texas climate, I use this. It's my second one and I wouldn't do without it. Ladies, you can use it for your facials!

We purchased this item for my son to help clear his skin up. It takes at least 5 minutes to heat up, and then you only get about 8-9 minutes of light steam. For some reason it just stops at that poiint. When you take the top off there is still a full cup of water but it stalls after that point.

Pro's The price is reasonable compared to other steamers and the 9 minutes or so has helped clear his skin up.

Con's It only works for a short amount of time.

I am not sure if this is how all the Thermal sauna's work or we may have one that is not correctly working. I probably would not recommend to anyone who wants to steam longer than 10 minutes.

It is too small and the amount of steam coming out of it is not enough for me... I feel like i wasted my money. My face is bigger and I have to turn left and right to steam my cheeks.
