For years, I've used bar soaps and in all that time, my skin felt tight and dry. I had to put on cream afterwards. Then I tried the moisturizing soaps like Caress Beauty Bar Soap, Daily Silk, 4.0oz Bars in 8-Count Package (Pack of 3). I found the bars too soft and 'oily.' They slipped out of my wet hands lots of times and I felt they deposit a film on my sink and shower. But they did make my skin less tight and dry.This Softsoap shea product feels less oily and because it's a thick liquid in a bottle, it isn't as slippery as a bar of soap (especially in the shower) and it doesn't spread onto surfaces as broadly. Maybe the Caress Moisturizing Body Wash, Glowing Touch with Shea Cream & Gentle Skin Brighteners, 18-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6) is just as good in these respects? Maybe I should try it?

I love the scent and it doesn't dry my skin out. However, I don't understand the purpose of the "butter beads". You think you have rinsed your hands and then realize that one of these slimy blobs is still stuck on you. Sometimes it can be quite a chore to remove them from your skin. (Did you ever pick up slugs when you were a kid?) The beads get hung up at the opening of the dispenser where they dry out and can be very difficult to remove.
