I am a professional hairdresser and have always used this product. It is THE BEST to take any kind of build up out of your hair. Everything from hairspray, mousse, waxy conditioners, chlorine, lake water, greasy scalp conditions...

I recommend using this once a week by itself. Shampoo in, add more water if no lather, don't add more product. It suds up quite nicely with warm water.

-For a more intense cleansing: shampoo in then wrap your head in plastic wrap or a plastic shower cap. Hold your hair dryer on for about 5 minutes. You will be AMAZAZED how squeaky clean and shiny your hair is.

Especially if you use products such as vo5, rave, suave, pantene.. those products have wax in them. They also cause scalp conditions. High alkalinity and are high in alcohol!

I'm African-American with relaxed hair. I was looking for a good chelating-clarifying shampoo to help remove the buildup on my hair. I was first exposed to this shampoo because my hairdresser used it all the time. It's really terrific at removing deposits from your hair -from hair spray and other hair care products, from minerals in your water, etc. It leaves your hair feeling very clean without feeling stripped -and gives it shine. I try to use it at least once a week. An added bonus -it smells terrific, kind of orangey! I had trouble finding this locally, but received it quickly from Amazon.
