I've been using Aveeno Positively Shave Gel(in a can) for years now, and have found nothing else that compares to it. I've even tried some of the top-rated shaving soaps with a brush, and find that they are not as good as the shave gel. For the past few months though, I have been unable to find it anywhere. I decided to give this a try.The first time I tried it, I lathered it up on my face and shaved. It was comparable to what I've experienced with other shaving creams and not satisfactory at all.
Next, I tried putting a little in my shaving cup and lathering it up with my brush. This produced results better than most shaving creams, but not as good as a real shaving soap.
If they just called this shower gel, I would not have tried it, because I already have products I prefer in that role. As for being a shaving cream, it is not satisfactory for me.

Excellent product. One of the things I really like about this is the plastic container (as opposed to a metal can) no more rust-rings on the side of the tub! I can't seem to find the product in stores anymore, so am very appreciative of the fact that I can order it on-line.This is not as moisturizing as I had expected. Its still a good body wash, just not what I was used to from Aveeno. Next time I will stick with a separate shave cream from my body washI have been a fan of Aveeno products for years and loved the Aveeno shave gel sold in a can. I couldn't find that so I decided to try this.The product is unusable. It is supposed to be a cream but the consistency isn't right. Is this seller sending out damaged or old goods? I find it hard to believe that Aveeno would put out a product like this.
The "cream" doesn't lather at all and it is impossible to shave with it.
