Aveeno Pure Renewal Shampoo, 10.5 Ounce (Pack of 2)

I have naturally curly hair and have been using sulfate free shampoo/conditioner for a while now. I started out with Infusium 23, then tried Loreal Evercreme and now Aveeno. Out of all three, I love the way Aveeno smells! I feel like the Loreal Evercreme shampoo left my hair feeling more nourished/softer after each use. This Aveeno shampoo isn't bad just not as good, in my opinion, than Loreal's. Aveeno's conditioner, on the other hand, beats all three! I'll write a review for that next.

I have been looking for a good shampoo for my hair, it's fine, wavy and very prone to frizz. Regular shampoos simply dries it out too much. This shampoo is gentle. It cleanses and moisturizes and leaves my hair soft and manageable. I can already feel it in the shower, my hair doesn't feel stripped! The smell is also gentle, which is a plus. I have tried several sulfate-free shampoos and this is my favorite. Definitely keep using this.

I'm editing my review because I have completely changed my mind about this product. I found the issue I was having (not feeling a thorough clean) was due to the conditioner I was using. This is a light shampoo. If you have thin or color treated hair, consider this product. Sulfates take out the color and dull it you just spent a lot of money! Don't wash it away with your shampoo!

I use this shampoo with Dove Nourishing Oil Conditioner, 25.4 Ounce and LOVE THE RESULTS. That particular conditioner is creamy and not an oil. I wish they would take "oil" out of the title.

Try the two together. Especially if you can't use heavy products in your hair. You will love it.

I had sulfate-free shampoo recommended as a way of dealing with my scalp psoriasis, and it has been absolutely amazing. After less than two weeks of using it, my scalp was in the best condition I could remember for years. (There was one incident with a large patch of dead skin sloughing in the first week, but since then I've had no issues.)

Another reviewer said it left her hair limp, and I've had some of the same issue, but I'm definitely willing to sacrifice a little body for a healthy scalp. I wholeheartedly recommend the shampoo!

My hair is fine, straight, soft and easily gets limp with the wrong products (like shampoos with built-in conditioners). I think maybe this shampoo just didn't clean it well enough, because my hair was completely unmanageable. If you have rough, dry, frizzy-type hair, or very damaged hair, it might be perfect for you.
