I had been using Neutragena Deep Clean Cream cleanser, which I love, but it dried my skin out and I found that the cream would get into my pores even after I washed it off. Which is not what I was striving for. So I decided to give Laura's cleansing oil a shot.
Let me tell you something...this stuff far-exceeded my expectations. Not only does it quickly, thoroughly and easily remove all my makeup--includng heavy mascara--it rinses off just as easily and leaves not a trace of dirt or makeup behind. Plus, no greasy residue, it leaves my skin soft and clean without having to scrub it. What I do is rub it deep into my skin all over for about a minute (about 3 pumps full in my hand) and then right before I rinse it off I gently rub it over my eyes to get the eye makeup off. That way I'm not rubbing mascara into my pores. Works great.
The most incredible benefit of this cleanser is that it has removed my blackheads. I'm thinking that the oil has lifted them out of my face without irritating my skin. I use 100% Natural's Sea Foam Eucalyptus clay foaming cleanser also several times a week, and a scrub of some kind several times a week, followed by Clinique's Acne Solutions astringent. My skin has never, ever looked better. Pores are invisible, skin is glowing and healthy, it's amazing after all that adult acne nonsense. I highly recommend this product to anyone, even if you have oily skin. If that's the case, I would recommend using an astringent afterwards, but the way this lifts the dirt out of your pores is the secret to getting rid of blackheads and zits. This is an amazing cleanser, I use this as a makeup remover. It removes everything so quickly and leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. It's perfection in a bottle. I have normal skin but I love this at night because it leaves my skin feeling moisturized. If you have drier skin, I would add a moisturizer. Otherwise this is an all around multi tasker. I also love the way it looks on the counter. Nice square bottle with pump. Can't go wrong with Laura Mercier!
