Very nice, quality sponges, but they smell terrible; smells like stale damp towels (that got left in the washer too long) with a burned scent to them very strange, and unpleasant smell. I've tried several things to get rid of the smell, but nothing's worked yet.
These are just what you see 12 round 3" in diameter cellulose sponges for $5 which I think is a decent price to pay. As simple items like these go they are on the better end of the spectrum: thick, sturdy yet soft, gently exfoliating & as I said, a go to item when you get your 4 best friends together to try facial masks & treatments as you'll want something like this on hand. They're well made enough to rinse, launder & reuse but inexpensive enough you don't have to worry about discarding them. I found them just right for all conceivable cosmetic/facial uses, they hold a good amount of warm water for loosening dry masks & are textured enough to remove what the warmth & water won't. Very comfortable to use and if you rinse them out (or throw them into a bowl of warm water to rinse later) you can get them back to their pristine white original condition with just a little hand or dishwashing soap (we were using a fine particle, black, moor mud). They're definitely sturdy & will hold up to many washings and re-use. Highly recommended.
