Simple Radiance Wipes, 25 Count

Simple Radiance Wipes, 25 CountThese wipes are great finally wipes for that work even for my very sensitive eyes. The best part is, no more staining my towels with mascara and eye makeup stains. Because no matter how well you scrub with traditional facial cleansers, inevitably you dry your face and BAM! there are the stains. Nice. That's why these work out so well. I've tried all kinds in the past...Olay, Nivea, Dove, you name it. These are the ones I like best, all though, I have to say I like the ones in the light green packaging better than these "radiance" type. These sting my eyes slightly more. I believe they have a exfoliating or "anti-aging" ingredient, which is good for skin they say, but my eyes didn't like it as well as the usual Simple wipes package I typically buy, in the light green packaging. Still, that being said, I would still buy these over the other brands I've previously tried. No chemically smells, headaches, breakouts, skin irritations, or feeling like something is left on your skin when you are done. I'm very happy these came out and they sure have helped save my towels! Black smeared towels aren't real classy.

The wipes are a generous size and are slightly rough so clean adequately.

There was enough moisture in the wipes to clean my face which dried fast. However, they felt drier than some wipes I've used. They are made in the UK, so perhaps they had lost moisture in transit.

The cloths removed grease from my face and hands. They felt smooth afterwards. Unlike some wipes with strong alcohol in them they did not sting or leave the skin feeling cold because of fast evaporation.

They claim to have skin-loving ingredients. Most are typical cosmetic ingredients. Another claim is that oil and alcohol are absent.

Here is a list of ingredients in order:

Water

Cetearyl Isononanoate used as an emollient or moisturizer

Betaine permits water retention in cells originally came from sugar beets

Glycerin

Polysorbate 20 stabilizes the ingredients

Mangifera Indica Fruit (Mango) this is touted as a leading ingredient

Bisabolol an oil, anti-irritant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial helps absorption

Ceteareth-20 used as an emulsifier

Phenoxyethanol oily liquid, kills bacteria and preserves

Cetearyl Alcohol mixture of fatty alcohols cleaner and stabilizer

Glyceryl Stearate emulsifier, thickener

Ceteareth-12 allows deeper skin penetration according to the Environmental Working Group SkinDeep database it is safe in low quantities, but is not safe on damaged skin if used in products for skin damage

1-Methylhydantain-1-Imide creatinine

Methylparaben some people don't like parabens as they are concerned that it might cause breast cancer, it is used as a preservative.

Disodium EDTA preserves and prevents cosmetics from going rancid

Sodium Citrate salt of citric acid helps preserve

Propylparaben another paraben

2-Bromo-1-Nitropropane-1, 3-Diol preservative

Benzoic Acid helps balance acid/alkali, i.e. PH and acts as a preservative

Citric Acid helps balance acid/alkali, i.e. PH

Zingber Officinale (Ginger) Extract

From the ingredient list the No Alcohol, No oil claim seems only half-true. There is no alcohol as used in popular parlance such as ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, yet there is fatty cetearyl alcohol. Also it seems there are some oily liquids, but maybe not as much oil as some other cosmetics.

The wipes have a mild, pleasant fragrance. Whereas, hot water and soap may remove dirt and some makeup faster with less wiping, these wipes are practical when a sink isn't readily available.

My skin has been very dry lately, but I often still feel the need to wash my face. These cloths leave my face feeling fresh without making it feel dry and tight. I also use these to soothe my skin after waxing. They feel nice and cool and there is no burning or irritation at all. I don't know how it cleans off makeup, as I do not wear any, but it did do a fantastic job of completely removing coconut oil from my face. I really like this product a lot. It also works on my dog's face to gently remove tear burn.

I absolutely love these wipes! I received them free from BzzAgent to try them out. It took me three days to become a believer in using them. On day one, the wipe was extremely abrasive and I wasn't sure they were for me. On day two, I decided to give it another chance and still scratchy but not as much as day one. On day three...nothing! Well, something did happen. I fell head over heals! The wipe was no longer an irritation to my skin and left it feeling smooth, looking healthy, and most of all moisturized. I have sensitive skin and have to admit I was a bit discouraged the first two days of use but, if I had not stuck it out I wouldn't be as happy as I am with it now. I choose not to go a day without using this product.
