Weleda Calendula Shampoo & Body Wash

I purchased this product to test on myself to see how I would like it for my baby. It is very, very gentle very minimal suds, very gentle smell that is derived from essential oils, not chemicals, and is non-drying. I actually used this on myself for a week when I had a very itchy rash and it was the only cleanser I had that didn't irritate me. I can use it on my face, anywhere on my body, and hair. I plan to keep this in stock for my own baby because it is just gentle as can be and has an ingredient list that I feel comfortable with putting on baby's skin, and my own. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this product based on the great reviews on Amazon and I wanted a "natural" product for my newborn. However, after using this product, I noticed that it had a lingering smell that was annoying. Also, my son developed a rash. To be clear, at this point I am not positive that this product caused his rash; however, I am switching products because of the smell and the rating by EWG.

I bought this slightly more expensive wash for my baby after wanting a paraben free product. However, upon research, I realized this contains other chemicals which I don't feel comfortable putting on my baby. It's a shame, because otherwise I like the product.

Pros: Nice smell, lathers well, paraben free, non-irritating, non-drying

Cons: A lot comes out at once, which means you run out of it faster. Prefer bottles with pumps, or that open upright. And apparently, the fragrance which I like is one of the reasons it scored poorly on EWG. Also it contains some carcinogens.

This is a wonderful smooth shampoo & body wash all in one, that I am currently using for my toddler/preschooler! He has such sensitive skin and frequently has little rashes that are unexplained...they are SO much less frequent!

I switched to this from Aveeno baby shampoo and wash. Theirs made my baby's skin dry. Weleda wash is so soft on her skin, the smell is very nice, but subtle, and I can tell my baby likes it! It's better to use it on a wash cloth, as it floats in flakes if you don't. I even started using it on my face occasionally no dryness! The only drawback is the container what a designer! She/he should have tried to give their baby a bath and try to squeeze some shampoo out with one hand. I'm looking to buy an empty pump container so I can just pour it in there.
