Molton Brown Molton Brown Paradisiac Pink Pepperpod Bath & Shower wash

I am a female and have loved the famous Re-charge Black Pepper wash for years. I tend to like earthy, resiny scents and love patchouli, sandalwood, oakmoss, and musks, rather than the sugary sweet tooty-fruity so popular in so many body washes these days. When I found this new pink peppery version, I had to try it. While the original Black Pepper is definitely an earthy masculine scent with that dry, "fall leaves" smell of vetiver, this Pepperpod version is similar in the "peppery" spicey part (maybe that's the ginger) but lighter and more fruity to me. I liked it and am curious how the lasting power is with the addition of the moisturizer. From a pure marketing standpoint, I am not crazy about the color, which obviously doesn't affect the smell of the product, but I think I'd be more drawn to it on a shelf if it were less candy-ish (which means sweet to me) and maybe more of a light pinky tan or even a deep warm reddish brown....seems more "natural" that way.

Anyway, I think I am still a bigger fan of the original, but this is definitely worth a try, especially for gals (or gents) who find the original too heavy. By the way, although the bottle is fairly pricey, it's very thick and bubbles up nicely so one doesn't need much; and for me, a bottle lasts for months.
