I have Rosacea and sensitive, dry intolerant skin. Even most gentle cleansers made for sensitive skin bother me. This is wonderful. It's a tissue off cleanser that leaves my skin really soft feeling, not dry and itchy. And it doesn't make me break out. I haven't been a fan of tissue off cleansers in the past because they can leave your skin feeling "shiny". But this doesn't do that. It really is nice. The entire Avene line is made for sensitive intolerant skin.
This cleaner is the only cleaner that I can use often without drying out my skin or causing further irritation. The cleaner comes out very liquidity, and also DOES NOT FOAM. I believe Avene makes another version of this cleanser that does foam if it matters that much to you.
It feels like rubbing goop on my face. Even though the bottle says that it is "tissue-off" I have always washed it off with warm water. Immediately, my face feels clean and looks bright. After using this stuff for 4 months, I also noticed my blackheads and pores decreasing. However, if I skip a cleansing session, dirt piles on quickly. My reddness has also decreased.
I would recommend this cleanser. It's also pretty good value.My skin is so fair and sensitive that it has reacted badly to many store products and expensive "boutique" type products in the past. Avene gentle cleanser is the best sensitive skin cleanser I've ever bought. I've recently noticed that my skin even looks better and now I can look at myself in one of those magnified mirrors without running away screaming. The product soothed my sensitive skin, toned down redness, tightened up the pores, cleared up any dryness I had, and makes the skin look very young. I like the fact that you don't have some greasy, chemical-smelling foam that has to be washed off with water which can also irritate sensitive skin. Avene goes on very gently, kind of reminded me of something you would use to clean a baby's skin, and it can be tissued off. There is no greasy after-film, just nice soft skin. You can tell by looking at the tissue or facial pad that this cleanser is very good at removing makeup. I've even accidentally gotten it in my eyes and there was no burning, stinging or pain because it is that gentle. There is no overpowering smell to live with all day. It improves your skin so your makeup even looks better (I also recommend Avene makeups and powders). I wish I could afford a case of this because I would definitely buy it. The price is somewhat high, but there are alot more expensive products that are horrible for sensitive skin. Do yourself a favor and try Avene. Over time you will see improvements in the skin. I haven't had one pimple since using it, so you don't have to worry about breaking out from it either.I am so happy I found this product! I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin, I can't use any products without my skin burning and becoming inflamed. Even Cetaphil wasn't gentle enough. However, I heard good things about this product so I decided to give it a try. It's amazing,it not only calmed my skin but cleared up my acne also. I use it with the lotion from the same line and I couldn't be happier. I just wish they made foundation and makeup. I plan on purchasing this again and trying out some more of their products. If you have sensitive skin and find that most products irritate your skin I would definitely suggest giving this a try.I am thrilled with this cleanser! It cleanses well, easily removing all of my make up (including mascara!), is gentle on my sensitive skin and does not leave my already dry skin even dryer! This is my new go-to cleanser! Love it!
