My doctor's office put me onto this product. I have been having hormone replacement therapy for 18 months now and even though it is wonderful, a side effect is sometimes acne because of increased oil production in your skin. This product is excellent for this. I wouldn't want to be without it. Now my 24 year old son is stealing it from my bath for his breakouts. I've had to start buying extra bottles to accommodate him!!! Great product!!!

It's definitely a must to try obagi products...no words can describe how great it is...just try it to believe it. When I used this product, along with the toner, I thought it was alright. But when I ran out and started using another obagi line I realized how awesome this really is! I immediately started to get pimples. I have mild acne, but every once in a while I get theese huge ones and I always have blackheads, and while I was on the two products I did not get any at all. Highly rec this product. I cant wait to go back on it. Be careful with the benzoil peroxide lotion, it is also super good, but they can feel harsh if used all together, especially if your acne is not severe. The therapeutic moisturizer is also great, its light and feels cool on your face, and best of all NO breakouts, I mean one pimple is too many in my opinion, so give this a try if you are suffering! Switching to this product had to be gradual. When I first tried using it 2X a day it felt like it was burning my face and had an awful chemical smell. I almost stopped using it since I do not like strong, toxic smelling substances. I persisted.Before I was using Clinique, which did not help much come the time of the month--but I did like the moisturizer. I decided to switch to Clenziderm (cleanser, toner, serum). Like I mentioned, using it 2X a day literally hurt, and like most changes I decided to ease into a routine. So I did the three steps at night and used Cetaphil during the day. I added the Clinique lotion to the end of my routine at night and a SPF moisturizer during the day.
After a few weeks I noticed that my face had less acne and blemishes--As the burning feeling ceased, I upped to 2X a day and stopped using the toner since it seemed to make my face more oily. After a month my face only gets a pimple here or there during that time of the month. I also only use the 5% benzyol peroxide at night with the Clinique moisturizer (use SPF moisturizer during day).
Overall--this cleanser works very well! It is a bit strong in my opinion so I recommend easing into it especially if you have sensitive skin. It really has been the only product I've used that has worked for me.
