California Baby Shampoo & Body Wash - Swimmer's Defense, 8.5 Ounce

I've used the swimmer's defense on my very blond daughter for years. California baby has changed the formula of this shampoo & it no longer gets the "green" out of my daughter's hair after she swims. The old formula was awesome & my daughter's hair never had a green tint. This is the 1st summer that her hair had a stubborn green tint that wouldn't come out even after using this shampoo (this never happened with the old formula). I do not recommend.

Had high hopes for this shampoo, being a lap swimmer and liking to use natural products whenever possible. But no. This shampoo, used with the "conditioner" by the same maker, not only did not feel good in the shower but also left my hair stiff and frizzy with a straw-like texture. Truly the worst shampoo and conditioner I have ever used.

I like the caledula smell of California baby. My girls are taking swimming lessons this year, and the other brands cannot get rid of chlorine smell of the pool.

I think that it does neutralize the chlorine to some extent, but you have to use normal soap after you use this stuff to get clean. I'll probably try to find something a little more strong.

I love the ingredients, no toxic stuff, the smell is amazing and it does the trick. Plus it it gets into my daughter's eyes she doesn't cry. Yeah!
