Works well and has a great scent. The only thing I've noticed is if I only use the shampoo (i.e. don't use the conditioner, too) that it leaves my hair feeling tacky. I recommend getting the conditioner with it.

Aveda doesn't use any petroleum in their products, so I simply must be allergic to something in that bottle. At my sister's advice, I tried Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturing Shampoo 200ml/6.7oz (which does not lather as much) and found it to be perfect for me. Its more expensive, but you only need about a toothbrush-sized amount. There is no aroma and the fact that it is all natural helps.

In addition, I use Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturizing Conditioner 200ml/6.7oz and AVEDA by Aveda: DRY REMEDY TREATMENT MASQUE 4.2 OZ. I shampoo every other day, condition every day and only use the Dry remedy once a week, I think I finally found what works for me. Once again, the price is high, but you use so little.

I've used a couple of bottles of this so far, and although I'm a huge fan of redken styling products, I actually like the aveda shampoo more. Plus my girlfriend loves the smell of this shampoo. =)

Just remember, a little goes a LONG way so if you use this faster than two months then you're using too much.

I've always been a fan of Aveda products; however, I was very disappointed with the Pure-Formance shampoo and conditioner. The products smell like a men's version of the traditional Aveda products. I am fine with the fragrance, but it is overpowering -to the point where I get a headache from the strong, lasting scent. 10+ hours after I shampoo my hair, I can still smell the strong fragrance from the shampoo. I want to wash my hair again with another product just to get rid of the scent. I've never used a shampoo that has such a strong, overpowering fragrance. It was so intense that I ended up returning the product to the salon where I purchased it. Luckily, they were nice enough to accept my return.
