Hempz Hydrating Shampoo

Hempz Pure Herbal Extracts Hydrating Shampoo, 2.5 fl ozI am a shampoo/hair product junkie-generally have 4-10 bottles of shampoo hanging around. Since I tried this shampoo, no other will do!! Sometimes, I don't even use a conditioner with it, it leaves my hair feeling so soft after shampooing. I color my hair, so that says quite a lot. I have tried the body lotion, great as well, the worst part is finding the shampoo, most places don't carry it, so I get it here!

I bought this for a friend, along with the conditioner, and she loved it. The smell is very natural and earthy, and Hempz makes great quality products.

I was using Bumble & Bumble shampoo & conditioner, and Hempz is a far better product. I also use Pureology Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner, and Hempz costs alot less! Keeps my hair feeling soft, plus, my hair smells GREAT! Would highly recommend.

I purchased this shampoo sometime in September and I stopped using it October. Initially, the first few times I got phenomenal results with this shampoo. It felt gentle on my relaxed hair and it cleaned my scalp well. However, as my hair became more unmanageable (i.e., new wavy/kinky hair growth), this shampoo made my hair feel rough EVEN before rinsing it out. Plus, it didn't clean my scalp effectively as I tend to have a flaky scalp. This shampoo is definitely not hydrating. I think my initial good results were due to the fact that I recently had a retouch of a relaxer and frankly, at this time, the hair is MOST manageable, so practically most products would feel "good" in the hair. So, in the future, in my opinion, I think the best time to try new hair products (for those with relaxed hair) is when you're in between times of needing a retouch of a relaxer).
