My dermatologist recommended this product. I have had trouble for years with dry/oily facial skin no matter where in the country or world I have lived (so it wasn't the local water). Oil in my T-zone all year round yet very dry skin in the winters with some peeling. I finally switched to this very reasonably priced product about 5 years ago and have never stopped using it. Phisoderm comes in the lotion cleanser and this soap bar. For some reason I prefer the soap bar. Now my face all over seems much more well-balanced in skin health. No persistent dryness and sudden oilyness in the afternoon from reaction to too harsh soaps and so-called cleansers. I highly recommend this product after years of use and much comparison with other daily cleansers all of which had cost a lot more.
