I have never had "bad skin" so to speak but I always had a problem with random breakouts that would usually pop up when I least expected them. I consulted with an Esthetician who recommended this after I told her that I was completely frustrated with drug store products that produced no results. I also tried Proactive that is no where near as good as it claims to be. I tried this product and within 3 days I noticed amazing results. Any acne I had dried up and flaked off and was never to be seen again. All those tiny blackheads we all get on our nose was gone. I was truly shocked by that part the most. This product definitely burns at first and takes some getting used to but once your skin adjust the burning sensation goes away. My only problem is that you cant get the cleanser near your eyes therefore you cant use this as a cleanser/makeup remover also this has to be used on dry skin unlike other cleansers that you apply to wet skin. It has changed my life. I have not had a single breakout since using it. It really pays to get a quality product.

Love this cleanser, which you apply to dry skin. It doesn't irritate my sensitive and combination skin, but I also recommend using an exfoliator once in a while to remove facial debris. I accidentally washed my eyes with it ouch! don't do that. I also like to wipe my face clean with a wet cloth vs. splashing. It's not the best makeup remover, but some soaps and cleansers that are better at that irritate my skin. Good luck

If you use it as a mask instead of just rising it off after applying you will get a lot more benefits from it. I use it both on my dry face or right after a shower. I massage it in and let it dry totally before rinsing. I really feel the exfoliating properties that way. This isn't a cleanser to wash your makeup with or clean if your face is sweaty and dirty. I think it should be used as a treatment, not a cleanser. Start out slowly until you know how your skin will handle it.
