I'm 22 and still get acne and have tried everything there was to cure it since it started in my early teens. I've tried ProActiv, Duac, silicic acid based cleansing products, Ortho tri-cyclen, Trinessa, etc.. I had tried Accutane when I was a teenager which was supposed to be the closest thing to a cure. My acne completely disappeared for 2 years after using Accutane but came back. I was back to square one, only as an adult I didn't think I'd still get acne. After, I tried multiple cleansing products and Duac till I became an adult and it worked for a while, but then I became immune to the ingredients in Duac... and nothing seemed to work again. And now recently, my aunt, who's a beautician in NY, recommended Dermalogica for adult acne. After using it for a week, I already saw my face start to clear up. After about a week and a half now, when I usually would see acne again, my face is pretty much still clear (which is surprising) but I see one or two new pimples. I hope this lasts forever! :)I bought it at Ulta for $40. Very spendy. But a lot of the cheap acne treatment products out there I found a little too harsh for my face and most of them were marketed towards teenagers. The acne treatments prescribed by my dermatologist, I found were short-term fixes. If you're an adult still suffering from acne, I recommend trying Dermalogica. The bottles may seem small, but they'll last a while.
More specifics: The cleanser is great; the oil-control lotion actually controls oil and keeps high shine at bay for ~4 hours; the overnight
clearing gel gives me visible results (1-2 days) whenever I have a sporadic flare up; not really sure how well the mask works, though my skin generally looks better when I keep it in the routine (I also mix it with another mask, with more firming properties); the exfoliator is my least favorite product (pharmagel has a much better one that I alternate with this one). Finally, the most amazing skin product I have ever used in my entire life is a part of this line...the clearing mattifier OMG... an absolute godsend this product, an absolute godsend.

I have very oily skin, and I have used a variety of cleansers that have been too harsh or too mild. I discovered this product when i went to a high end salon to get a facial. I have never used a product that agreed so much with my facial skin. It has ingredients that gives your face a cool and tingly sensation. Not an uncomfortable burning sensation like some other products. When you are done with the day, your face is 2 or 3 times less oilier than usual. I don't know if it is this product or Dermalogica's Anti Bac Wash, but the big pores on my nose have decreased significantly. I have always had big pores on my nose and it is a surprise for me to see them so small. This product is great for anyone with oily skin. I should note that I've also been using an acne supplement too ClearZine (2 Bottles) The Top Rated Acne Treatment Pill. Believe me, I'm as impatient as the next person, but I took my facialist's advice and stuck with these products. I started using this kit at the end of Aug, and it's now coming up to the end of Oct. The first month was pretty terrible, I seemed to break out more than ever, my pores seemed especially clogged...but slowly my skin adapted to the regimen, and those clogged pores sometimes turned to pimples, but then those healed. Essentially, I'm not at a point now where I have less clogged pores than I've had in years and years, and the breakout are becoming few and far between. These are the best products I've ever used on my skin, and I've used sooo many different brands of products. Just be patient! And I mean, 2, 3, 4 months patient. My facialist said it sometimes takes people with acne 6 months to see the positive effects from these products. I have tried several acne clearing products over the years...Proactive, Murad, Neutogena, you name it, I've tried it! I bought this trial kit based on a friends recommendation. I am 37 with acne prone, oily skin around my chin area. I usually have a good amount of break outs during my period, so I am dealing with hormonal acne. I have been using the cleanser, the clarifying mat cream, and the overnight clearing gel (on acne areas only) for three weeks now. I have also used the mask once, again, only on my chin area that is prone to acne. With being consistent with my routine, my chin is completely cleared up...but it took three weeks!! This has not happened in several years....I always have at least one pimple to contend with. I still have the red marks left from the acne, and hopefully, this will have a chance to clear up now.I am very plesed with this product...it is a goood price for what you are getting, and now I know which products to invest in. I am approaching one month with the trial kit and still have plenty left to use. I will absolutely be buying the the cleanser, clarifying mat cream, and overnight clearing gel.....the foundation trial is too dark and I have plenty of mask left before I would need to buy the larger size.
I have never written a review before on anything I've ever bought, but felt like I needed to spread the word about this product it produces results, my face is clear!!!!!
