Meishoku Detclear Peeling Scrub Face Wash - 130g

I find that I have to respectfully disagree with the previous reviewer in regard to Meishoku's Detclear Peeling Scrub Face Wash.

I purchased this facial scrub on the same afternoon that I purchased the Meishoku Detclear Facial Peeling Jelly and recognized prior to purchase that they were 2 different products, each with a separate purpose.

This product is a facial WASH, your standard fare for an exfoliating scrub. It's designed to cleanse the skin and does a darn good job of it too. The wash itself is thick and contains small, smooth exfoliating beads. It lathers well, a little bit goes a long way, and does not leave a film as some washes do upon rinsing. I have combination oily skin with the "oily" intensifying immensely during hot, humid weather, but this facial wash leaves me with squeaky clean, oil-free skin!

The packaging directions state that it can be used in a similar manner as the peeling jelly, a method that I tried but found not to work as well as the jelly proper. I used it on DRY skin and was rewarded with being able to rinse off the little balls of dead skin cells that formed. Also, when used in its every day sense of a facial wash, I found that it gently exfoliates my skin without being rough, without leading to overly dry skin.

If you're looking for a product to exfoliate and do it well, I'd 100% suggest Meishoku's Detclear Facial Peeling Jelly. If you're looking for a good, every day cleanser, I'd recommend this. Though it can be used for all skin types, I would shy away from this scrub if your skin is on the dry side as I can see this wash zapping all of the precious moisture. If your skin is combination or oily, or in my case both, I'd recommend this product 100 times over!

I was hoping this was the cheaper alternative to the MEISHOKU DETCLEAR FACIAL PEELING GEL (MIX FRUIT) but I was very wrong. It has the same ingredients as the peeling gel but the texture is just creamy, thick, and leaves your face tight. There is no "seeing the dead skin peel off your face" either. I used it once and had to stop because I started to break out in cysts. I would give this product one star but gave it two since it does leave you face looking brighter afterwards.
