This keeps my hair back while I wash my face at night and keeps facial products, including messy masks, from getting in my hair. So for that purpose, it's great.

Someone recomended this for use at the gym and, while I guess it probably would keep sweat out of one's hair, it is (in my opinon) a bit cumbersome to wear in public. So I wouldn't recomend it for that purpose but it probably would get the job done.

A thick absorbant headband...if you are looking to protect your hair from getting wet.
