winter here is very cold and very dry and leaves exposed skin like onion paper without great care. i went looking for old fashioned cold cream and (re)discovered boots. it is superb.

I think it's a bit heavier then I expected, which isn't bad because I'm so dry.

What I don't like is that if you mix it with just a drop of water it doesn't blend... with this product water can only be used on the wash cloth you need to get it off. It's a bit stickier then I expected. NOTHING like ponds, but I was looking for something higher end and maybe this is it?

I am not a fan of the floral scent. It's strong.

The cream is thick, rich and feels refreshing. Similar to Noxzema if you've ever used it. I would just smear it on my face and leave it for however long I want and then wipe off with a hot towel. My skin looked and felt clean and smooth. After you've applied it on your face, it will appear oily as the warmth of your skin will melt the cream making your face look really shiny. Make sure you wipe it off well. Perhaps a few times a hot towel first then a cold one, otherwise you might think the cream caused your skin to become oily when it really just needed to be wiped off well. .

I love this product because it really cleans very well without my having to be so abrasive. It also seemed to have done wonders for any breakouts I may have had on my skin. Its a good buy and will buy it again.

In my teen years I was plagued by really bad acne. Now that I'm 24, I no longer have actual clinical "acne", which is a relief. However, my skin is still very prone to periodic breakouts, which is why I'm constantly looking for a good skincare line. Yet most of the anti-breakout products I find in CVS are way too harsh for my skin--the levels of salicylic acid are much too high for my skin. My skin is noticeably healthier and shine-free, and I haven't had a breakout since I started using these products. They have an interactive tool that helps you determine which products are best for your skin, which is how I decided on the three products I purchased. I've had acne pretty much all my life, I'm 29 now. I've tried everything EVERYTHINGto clear my skin, but nothing has ever really worked. My esthetician recommended the body wash and I liked it and Proactiv wasn't working for me, so I decided to give the clearing wash a try. I bought the trial size, mainly because I'm a grad student so money is tight, and I wanted to try it out before I committed to spending $20-30. I love it, and I am never using anything ever again. Some ingredients listed for this product are aloe, jojoba wax beads and oil (not in that order). Packaging photo and product information are different too. What was sent to me was the Alba Even Advanced Sea Algae scrub. There's a major difference between the two products. The new "Even Advanced" does not use jojoba wax beads as the exfoliant, but crushed walnut shell. And Dimethicone is listed as the fourth or fifth ingredient in the "Even Advanced". There are more and different ingredients listed in the "Even Advanced". I bought this product, the Sea Algae scrub hoping this was some leftover stock of the old product, as described and pictured. But no, its Alba's new stuff.

It's way too fragrant and slimy (with the Dimethicone) than I like for a scrub, other than the fact that the ingredients are not the same as listed. My husband has oilier skin so he's going to use the two tubes. But I would not reorder this as a Prime delivery because its not the old formulation. It can be found for two to three dollars less elsewhere.

DDF Glycolic 5% Exfoliating Wash, 8.45-Ounce Bottle

This product only really starts working after about a month. It really smooths my skin. I use it once per day and a different cleanser for the other time. It acts as an exfoliant and really makes my skin smoother, but after 1 bottle my skin starts to adjust and i need to give it a break, use something else and then go back to it to see the same results. One bottle will last you maybe ~4 months because you only need a small pea size amount each time.

I've been using this DDF wash for 3 months now, usually at night so as to avoid exposing myself to the sun. Contrary to my fears, this product didn't dry out my skin, even if I added little water to create the foam. Since I've started this wash, I no longer needed to apply masks to get rid of dead skin cells. Without the layer of dead cells, skin products can absorb much better into the skin. I'm extremely satisfied with the performance of this product.

I've been using this for years and it is fantastic and nothing short of miraculous. I've used it on poison ivy, eczema, zits, blackhead, large pores, bruises, chigger and bug bites. I had a very severe bout of poison ivy, so I mixed up a large quantity of this stuff (cover and put in fridge any stuff you mix up,) and every night applied a pack and covered it with paper towels which I taped it down to keep in place & slept with it over night. The next morning I hosed off the dried clay and could see the poison ivy was losing it's punch, less ooze, itch & redness. This stuff pulls the toxins out of your skin! Would be great for teenagers troubled skin as it's the best clay to use on the face. I apply a thick layer and let it completely dry. It makes you skin pulsate as it's drying and I noticed my skin is more taut, pores smaller and clean, smoother and clearer after use. This stuff increases circulation in your skin and can make it red after using, (for me it goes away after 30 minutes.) DO A PATCH TEST FIRST.

I also used it on an allergic reaction I had to some sunscreen where my chest broke out in zits and after one application of this clay the next day everything had cleared up.

F.Y.I. to avoid a clogged drain, I peel the clay off after it's dried, or hose down outside because the dried clay (if it goes down the drain) can cause a clog. You can also use it in a bath as a detoxifier for the whole body. Just sprinkle in the water and it melts (no risk of drain clogging with this method.) This is a must for any emergency medical kit.

More FYI: Mix in a NON-METAL CONTAINER using NON -METAL UTENSILS. Instead of mixing with water you can use apple cider vinegar (I have also used aloe juice, NONI juice to amp up the healing properties.) A great cheap beauty mask that really detox's and purifies.. Any mixed leftovers can be covered and put in the fridge for further use. Add a little water if it dries up a bit while in the fridge. NOTE: The dry powder does not need to be refrigerated. **If using in a bath: gently sprinkle clay (I have used 1/2 of a container per bath) and use your hand as a beater to properly dissolve the clay when it hits the water to avoid clumping.

Unlike "girly" products that smell like a whorehouse, this is a simple product.

You can feel the face pulsate as the clay dries, it pulls the skin and I think that is

I am 32 years old with extremely sensitive skin. I have acne, eczema, large pores and my skin will dry into a red rash due to changing weather or caused by some products. No amount of Retional, Accutane, Protiviti, Clearisil etc etc has ever taken care of my problems.

I just used this mask for the first time (with applecider vinegar) and my skin feels super soft. My pores have shrunk to the point that I am using one of those (horrific) magnifying mirrors and they still look small. I did feel the tightening and pulling that others have described but it was satisfying to know the product was working. My face did turn red immediately after the treatment, but that faded within 20 minutes. I am VERY pleased with the result and will use this again frequently.

I have used clay-based face masks before, including the bar and tube from Fresh, a mud mask from Sabon, and also fresh masks from Lush (the Chocolate clay one is my fave). None of those masks have produced as good a result as this product. PLUS this clay was far less expensive than the products i just mentioned.

A big thank you to the reviewer who said that you can find this at Wholefoods. I was able to find it there for $6 after reading about it on amazon yesterday. I only had to use 1 tablespoon worth of the product (plus 1T of liquid) to cover my entire face and neck so I will expect this jar will last me a year or more!

Let me tell you...if you ever want to know what it's like to have a black hole on your face then all you have to do is get this product. If you mix it just right not only will you feel pulsating and tightening, you will feel as if your face has moved( such as your lips puckering) but it really hasn't. It's pretty amazing. I leave it on for as long as I want or can take. It doesn't burn me or anything(though it did burn one of my friends with bad acne, but I think that was a good sign.) It just kind of sets me in stone. I make sure that when I mix it with Bragg's Organic Apple Cider that the texture is silky and whipped. No clumps! I have seen that some use water but meh...I say go by the actual directions.

I think one of the misconceptions about a product like this is that your face becomes smooth when you scrub it off. This stuff is extremely hard to get off like that. I recommend taking a rag and soaking it with warm water and dabbing it generously on the clay so that it softens somewhat. THEN scrub/wipe it off.

I only do this once a week because my skin is pretty normal and do not want to dry it out. So far the best benefit this clay has given is it's blackhead loosening. I always put a nose strip on right after I wash this off. When I pull that thing off I get almost all the blackheads on my nose. It makes me very happy. Now I know some people have T-Zone blackheads so I am sure you could also use strips on your chin and forehead.

This product is relatively inexpensive and the apple cider is too. It's worth a try.

I got a trial size tube of this stuff from Nordstoms when I bought a Clarisonic brush for my face. I looked at it and thought I would save it for when I travel since it is so small, not thinking that I would like it much. I tried it for the first time and couldn't believe how good it worked! BABOR Cleansing Gel and Tonic

This has to be the best facial cleanser I have ever used. I have been using it for about 3 years and I love it. It feels refreshing and has a clean scent to it. It does not burn like some cleaners do. This one bottle if used every day by one person can last for 2 months or more. You get enough cleanser with 1-2 pumps.

It works ok, lathers well, isn't too drying (it's currently winter in MN) ,doesn't have an absurd scent; however, it's a higher pricepoint and is only mediocre.

The biggest con of this is that it's very runny so it is extremely simple to use too much product making it cost ineffective. This has the consistency of water. As for the two-in-one, I'm indifferent. Every other dermatologist will tell you that tonic or toner isn't effective. Plus, I happen to like product so the versatility of this is lost on me.

The woman who introduced me to this treatment described it as "spicy" and it is!! It does burn, and does leave your face bright red after using. However once you spray on your toner, the redness disapears in a mater of seconds. It's leaves your face smooth. I use this product in the shower so I'm distracted, and I use it every other day. I have seen differences in my face in only about a week that I have been waiting years to see.

This is not a masque to be used prior to a night out. It is a great treatment to use every couple nights, but it does leave my face and neck red for a while after I remove it (it's gone before morning). It also has a bit of a sting the longer it's left on before washing it off, I don't recommend it for sensitive skin. I have had great results and numerous compliments on how great my skin looks. These line of product works great on my face. They have many different products to chose from for all skin types, but this has helped my blemishes and rash prone skin immensely. It has also helped keep it from getting dry as well as not too oily. I love this product and would recommend it for anyone wanting a good scrub. I use it 2-3 times a week. It leaves the face red for 5-10 minutes because of the heat with it, but afterwards my face feels great.

These little buggers work so well, I've used them since I was in my 20's until I couldn't locate them any more. Glad to find them on Amazon. I do notice that the sponges are a bit thinner than the ones I used to use from the store seems like almost half as much thinner. But hey, every other company has shaved off a bit of product in the last few years so what can you expect? They still work great for my face.

While this is an excellent product, I'm not sure that it's worth as much as they're charging for it. Nivea and Neutrogena both make face washes that I think are just as good for half the price.

If you're going to splurge on a Jack Black product, I'd recommend trying the beard lube (shaving cream), which is the only product they make that I find really superior to the less expensive options.

This is the best all-purpose, all-around daily men's cleanser that I've used and I've tried them all. As a guy with combo skin, it's been difficult to find a good cleanser that doesn't then require me to apply a toner. This has it all in one easy cleaning step and it doesn't dry out my skin. The best.

I bought this after having a great experience with the triple cushion shave cream, and now I'm completely brand loyal to Jack Black.

The cleanser does a great job of plowing through dirt and oil, and after you're done, your face feels like a completely blank slate. That being said, it does leave my face a little too dry. To remedy this, I just use face lotion afterwards.

After two weeks of using this twice daily (with lotion), I can say that my skin has never been better. My face has been clean and zit-free, and I've had no problems with dry skin.

As for the scent, it has an herb-y scent that I assume is from the sage it uses. After you rinse off the lather, there's no residual scent.

As for the use and feel, you just wet your face, pump once for a quarter sized doodle, and that will give you enough lather to wash your whole face. The soap pumps out soft and lathers easily.
