In the interest of full disclosure, I have to say I joined the Usana team for $20 as an associate because I was looking for vitamins and I thought I could get credit for buying from myself. Also, (in the interest of full disclosure), from my research, I did not feel comfortable with all business practices but I couldn't find anything negative about the products (except cost). Now having said that, I can admit to not loving every product but I really liked the cleanser. The product that I previously used was from Avon Porefection and it was discontinued. I have oily skin which means I have to walk a fine line between stripping all oil (which removes all moisture) from my face and moisturizing my face to replenish its balance. I find that a lot of cleansers will either not clean deep enough and leave a residue or clean too deeply and leave your skin feeling harshly dried out. This cleaner made my face feel really clean but without the harsh effects. It must be said, you should always follow with some type of moisturizer especially with oily skin (the oil glands will overcompensate for the dry skin and you'll end up oilier than ever). I have already purchased a second bottle and until something else comes along, this may be my new cleanser even though it cost more than my previous brand.

The Usana facial cleanser is really gentle. My face is slightly oily but also very tender. I can't use Lancôme because it irritates my skin. So does Mary Kay. Many products have made my face "burn." Usana is the gentlest cleanser I have ever used. It leaves my face clean without tightness. It is the only product I have used that doesn't sting my eyes--it is that gentle. Also the renewing Night Creme is the best I have ever used. If I have a blemish, this lotion calms the inflammation. The lotion is light but very effective.

A Usana salesperson gave me samples to use over the weekend. I was very skeptical, but the difference was obvious in a couple days. My face was less oily, felt softer, and the big ugly blemish on my chin was disappearing. I have now used the cleanser and moisturizers for seven years. The bottles have gone from glass to plastic in that time, but I think the formula has been pretty consistent.

As for cost, it s a quality product that works for me where others don't. The cleanser and lotions (AM and PM) last for six months. It is well worth the "extra" cost.

I was a little surprised when I noticed a negative review for this product on Amazon. I have my doubts the person actually tried an authentic USANA product. I have sensitive skin and I have been battling Eczema for about 20years. If any of you have Eczema you know you just have to find a way to avoid the flair-ups and treat them when they come. I will often have an immediate flair-up if I use a strong soap on my face.

For me this has been the best product I have found for daily cleansing. You can feel the difference after the first use. I am not sure about all of the science behind it but it leaves your face feeling clean but not overly dry. I still get occasional flair-ups but they are less often.

The only negative is the product is hard to find. It is mostly sold through a direct sales force and I am not really interested in becoming a USANA salesperson. So here I am searching the web because my last bottle ran out.

BTW the daily moisturizer is also great. I could do without all of the other stuff.

This is my opinion based on use of USANA SENSE face products (daytime moisturizer, toner, cleanser, pefecting essence and nighttime moisturizer): I tried these products and HATED THEM. They dried out my skin and caused a severe rash. My dermatologist indicated that he has never seen good results from this line. I was hooked by their organic, flowery website... but user beware. Independent sales representatives are pushy to sell, but not eager to help when you have bad results.

Stick to more established and reputable skin care lines. Please note, I am a consumer and in no way affiliated with any competing companies. I just don't want anyone else to be impacted negativley by use of this product.
