Murad Acne & Wrinkle Reducer

I first started using this product when I saw it in Sephora and snagged some samples. I thought to myself this is lonnnnng overdue in skincare (a product that addresses both wrinkles AND acne) because contrary to popular belief, there are women who exist that have both of those things! I am 28 and I have very fair, ruddy, almost fragile skin...which unfortunately will break out on my chin and jaw area if my hormones change even an ounce in my body (we are talking one instance of stress and BOOM...zit).

I have tried everything...I mean EVERYTHING that has ever existed for acne. Proactiv, Origins, Aubrey Organics (which have a great line to help rosacea btw), Dead Sea Salt products, Mary Kay, Clinique, Arbonne, Juice Beauty just to name a few. The problem with all of these is they either dry and burn my skin to a crisp because they use benzyl peroxide or ridiculously high amounts of salicylic acid OR they have to much oil-free lotiony stuff that makes my make-up look like a mudslide on my face by the end of the day.

I have even tried the Murad line for acne prone teens and it was WAY to harsh, just like the others...red face and skin peelies anyone? So there was some hesitance to try this line again...but I was impressed with the low salicylic acid content and all the other goods in it to help the fine lines.

Why I REALLY bought a whole bottle in the end though...my boyfriend told me after a week of use (not knowing I was using anything different) that my skin looked "really good and soft." Those were his exact manly words...words that every woman would drop $49 on a bottle of face crap to hear! At least I would!

Bottom line...for me this has smoothed my skin, looks flawless under makeup, and has softened the quickly forming lines dramatically, and made enough of a difference that even my boyfriend noticed...and if he noticed, EVERYONE must be noticing. SOLD!

Sidenote: If you can afford the face wash, get it...more power to you! Send the wrinkles and zits packing :) OH, and you save like $19 (no, that's not a typo) by buying this product on Amazon versus Sephora, can't beat it.

I got a sample for this with my Ulta order about 5 days ago, and starting yesterday morning, I woke up to clearer and softer skin. My dermatologist insisted I start using Albolene to remove my eye make-up due to bad allergic reactions to many products. Neutrogena Deep Clean Shine Control Blotting Sheets, 50 Count (Pack of 2)

The mission (which I chose to accept): Test out Neutrogena Deep Clean Shine Control Blotting Sheets.

The subjects for this experiment:

#1 Me: Female, Caucasian skin, 40s....mid to upper 40s....I remember Ford being president.

#2 The Punk: Male, Caucasian skin, 16 and just got a driver's permit, (so I am the one breaking out thinking about insurance costs).

So I get the little package and I was surprised that Neutrogena could fit 50 blotting sheets in that little pack. I was only expecting, like five. However, the blotting sheets have the paper consistency a little thicker than a Bamboo rolling papers, so there were 50. I have mid to upper 40 eyes too, so I really did have a hard time reading the directions on the back of the package. I never could read the ingredients. When I opened the pack, the whole inside cover was blank, a perfect place to put the directions instead of cramming EVERYTHING on back.

Obviously, this product markets to a younger crowd.

The sheets are smart. They have a plastic feel to them...like Christmas tissue paper and plastic. After an experiment, the sheet does know water from oil. Water does nothing to it, while oil absorbs into the sheet and turns the sheet translucent. I think there is some kind of ingredient on the outside of the blotter.

The Punk also tried the sheets. He thought they were "okay", what does he know, darn teenagers. (Unless it has the Axe logo on it, he's not going to like anything). Being a boy, 16, and a punk, he did have some issues getting only one sheet out at a time. (Which was comforting to me as a mom knowing he didn't know how to properly remove a rolling paper). But I digress....

So the sheets were confiscated and I decided to carry them in my purse. They actually work well with make-up in an emergency. For instance, right before the annual Christmas picture.

I'm a big fan of blotting paper rather than caking on more powder. That said, I've tried most of them. Clean and Clear (another favorite), l'Occitane Rice paper (ok but expensive for what you get), Shisedo (ditto), Sephora brand (eh, so so) and Boscia green tea (good enough). The Neutrogena ones are great because they really work and they don't leave any residue. They are colored and turn translucent as you use them, which is handy and makes it easy to find your oily zones. If you haven't tried blotting sheets, try these, they are excellent and great price to quality.

These sheets may look like they've been cut out of blue surgical gloves and may feel the same when you use them. However, when you see how well they work, you won't care a bit. Like some other facial rehabilitation products (such as Biore), the Neutrogena Deep Clean Shine Control Blotting Sheets gives you the satisfaction of letting you see exactly what's coming off your face. (And be honest, you know you enjoy it when you see all those black spikes stuck to a pore cleansing strip when you peel it off--right before you say "yuck!" and toss it in the trash.) Depending on your skin type, you may be amazed at the quantity of oil pulled from your face. The sheets themselves are rather thin, kind of like onion skin typing paper (yes, I'm old enough to remember typing paper). However, on the inside flap of the case is a piece of sticky tape; you remove the protective covering and the tape adheres to the topmost blotting sheet when you close the case, so that when you open it back up, a single sheet has been pulled out, ready for use. Close, stick, open, use, repeat. Handy! I don't carry around a stopwatch, so I don't know if the claim of "oil control for 4 hours" is accurate; however, even if it only works for an hour or two, I would still be satisfied. The credit card-sized package means you can conveniently carry it around in your purse, wallet, pocket, or even your bra (although that might be a bit uncomfortable for long-term storage).

The only downside is that size. Unless you're blotting a small area (like your nose, perhaps), more than one sheet may need to be used. However, there are 50 sheets per pack, which means even if you use more than one sheet at a time, you're still getting a pretty good bang for your buck. Plus, it's Neutrogena; I've trusted my skin to them many times over the years, confident that their high quality standards will keep my skin in great shape. Knowing that instead of caking my pores with more powder, I'm actually getting rid of the stuff which can make my skin go bad (and when it goes bad, it really goes bad--sneaking out of the house, trashing the car, binge drinking, the whole deal--bad skin!) makes the cost of this product, which is a bit higher than other blotting papers, a worthy trade-off.

Eucerin Eucerin Calming Body Wash Daily Shower Oil

I read a lot bad reviews about the smell of this oil. Well, one of the things that make Eucerin great for sensitive skin is that they don't use any perfume. So it smells like oil, get over it. My skin is super sensitive and breaks out very easily whith rashes and hives even psoriasis at times. This is the only product that will help me, so I don't really care about the smell. It does what it is supposed to do, which in my case is to take care of my skin, not to make me smell like a flower.

If you have plain old dry skin, or skin drier from tanning, use Dove or something similar. This is the heavy duty "real thing." I have eczema and this stuff is fantastic. Sure, it doesn't smell all fancy and nice but that's not what it is for, besides any odor it imparts does not stay with you. I use a "puff" and get plenty of lather so I don't know why other reviews say it does not lather. Using this with the Eucerin Calming Body Creme and my prescriptions seems to have things under control.

I was very disappointed in EUCERIN CALMING BODY WASH. It comes out as an oil, which is nice. It doesn't lather but turns opaque as you massage it into your skin. I prefer more lather in a body wash, though I think it's more psychological than anything else. (Even though it's not necessarily accurate, I think I need the lather to feel clean.) I could have gotten past that, however (as the product does clean the skin), if the after-shower results were worth it. I used the wash several times when I had time to wait for an hour or so before slathering on lotion. Unfortunately, after washing with this product my skin actually feels drier and tighter than it does after washing with the oatmeal-based bar soap I was looking to replace. Like I said, very disappointing!

I have been using Pond's Cold Cream nearly my entire life, and that is no exaggeration. I took dance from age three, and once I got older, I became introduced to "stage make-up," which just mean everything is over the top. This is what my mom used to remove her make-up every night, and what she used on me to remove my dance make-up after recitals. Once I started wearing every day make-up on a regular basis, I used this as well, and still use it to remove make-up to this day (nearly 10 years later!). My mother has dry skin, so she just uses the Pond's and then a moisturizer (she likes Nivea in the big blue jar). I have oily skin, so I use Pond's to remove my face and eye make-up and then follow up with a regular cleanser (Neutrogena Naturals) and a light, night moisturizer. My eyes are sensitive too, and this is the only thing I've used that doesn't make them burn. I also feel that it removes make-up and impurities better than my cleanser alone. When I am lazy and don't use the Pond's, there is always make-up residue on my towel.

Also, please do follow the directions on the back--it says to remove with a warm wash cloth & that is what works best. Some friends have complained that it doesn't come off, but it will not rinse off by just splashing your face with water. This review seems a bit long, but that just goes to show how much I appreciate this product.

Wow, I've tried a million cleansers but once I notice that I'm developing blackheads or pimples,I'm back to Ponds. I guess it bothers me a bit that I might be considered using an " old lady" product. Yet its the only product that has been "real". It is wonderful to use slather your face with it in the shower and leave it on for a bit. Then take a warm washcloth, wipe your face and then splash cool water. If you don't wipe with a warm cloth, it will be difficult to remove. I find that it helps keep my skin clear and deeply moisturized. It really is an awesome product. I make sure that I always have two extra jars because I'm afraid to run out it. Anyway, I'd rather be a pretty old lady than a young lady with problem skin.

I would give this product no stars for terrible advertising and product. The product in the picture looks well made, and the bristles look like a brush. When the product arrived the bristles were all different lengths and poorly grouped together. My wife complained that it was too rough on her face. I told her prior reviews indicated the brushes needed to be broken in. The next day she indicated it felt softer but at the expense of less bristles. By Day 3, over half of the bristles had fallen out and the brush was a matted mess of bristle. I splurged for the Clarisonic Plus in December after going back and forth about whether I really needed this product. My skin is not horrible, but my T-zone is oily and I do get periodic breakouts. I was hopeful that the Clarisonic Plus would help me with those problem areas, and so far, it has. I love that it has the timer on it to tell you how long to spend on each area for optimal cleaning much like my toothbrush does.

The brushes are gentle and I had to experiment with the setting to see which speed would work best for my skin. It also comes with a body brush that I use on my knees and elbows to get rid of dry patches.

So yes the Clarisonic Plus is expensive and is definitely a luxury, but it is worth it to me. I never have been one to get regular spa treatments, and now I don't have to in order to take care of my skin.

I love my clarisonic. I just would not pay full price for it,I got a GREAT deal on groupon. I have acne prone skin and using the clarisonic helps me keep my pores clean and unclogged while getting the most out of the skin products I use. Love these. These pads are great. I needed a product like this, but with safe and natural ingedients, for my pre-teens. They are gentle, but yet effective with their facial skin care routine. It did take my daughter a little bit of time to get used to the smell. But now she is telling me we need to buy more. What I got: Hazelets Facial Pads with Aloe, 50 wipes in a plastic jar, very similar to Stridex or Oxy pads. I was expecting individually wrapped wipes, the description didn't give any indication, so I just assumed it was individual towlette-type wipes, which it is not.

That said, they perform exactly as I expected them to, they are a freshing wipe for cleaning dirt and oil off of your face.

The result is better than any product I've used in the past. The best part is you don't have to keep buying replacement parts. It's made to last a long time. I just clean the tip with alcohol wipes and it's ready for use.

I recieved my vacubrasion two and half weeks ago and I love it! I have had microdermbrasion done on and off over the years at spas both medical and not. I have to say this is just as strong as all the treatments I have recieved and paid $85 and up for. My main concern are fine lines, brown spots from sun damage and acne scars. I have done 3 treatments since recieving it and have notice a differnce in my skin. First it is super soft, which anyone who has had microderm knows that feeling. Second my line are still there but less noticeable like my brown spots. My red acne scars are almost gone, didn't have many. As far as the deeper acne scars, since they are not super deep I think that I will get good results on the next months-I will keep you posted. Also my skin is getting a very even tone. Needless to say I still will never go to the spa for microderm again, there is no need now.

The system is super easy to use and the diamond tips last virtually forever so it is a great investent for $70.00. All you do is screw the diamond tip into the wand, attach the wand to the clear hose, then attached the hose to your vacum tools attachment. Then turn on your vacuum (make sure it is set on tools) and go about microderming you face. The suction is regulated through the attachments the kit comes with so don't worry you won't suck your face off! Also, if you don't want to use the wand with the hose, you can use the black attachment in your kit and attach that to your vacuum hose and screw your diamond tip into that.I think it is important to watch some microdermbrasion videos so you know the direction to go with the daimond tip on the face.I had bought Nubrillance (suction got week very fast, returned it) in the past and it had a book with these directions so that is how I know plus from getting treatements. You Tube is suppose to have videos which help as well. Vacubrasion has AMAZING customer service so if you have any questions just go to their website and call or email them. I used email and always got fast timely very helpful responses ,their email is sales@vacubrasion.com So if you have never done microderm on your skin then I recommend to send them an email and ask them the directions to go on the face.

As far as cleanup I dip the tips fastly in rubbing alcohol and let them dry in a very clean place and wipe the hoses, I store everything in a clean place away from other stuff in my bedroom.

One more thing I also notice that when using the diamond face tip I get more suction if I don't use the clear hose/wand attachment and just use the black attachment the kit comes with where you screw the diamond tip into the end. The difference isn't much but there is a slight difference. When using the body tip (ordered seperately, it is rounder and bigger) I notice it has more suction attached to the clear hose on the wand.

I highly recommend this item if you enjoy getting microdermbrasion treatments but don't enjoy the price!

I received this set just yesterday and have only used all of the included products twice, but love them all so far. My favorites are the Cleanser/Toner and the Day Lotion. The powder is OK and does its job, but I've never been a fan of pressed powders. The trick with this system, as well as other systems by Arbonne, is that a little bit goes a long way. Just a little Cleanser/Toner, just one pump of Day Lotion, and a light dusting of the powder goes a long way! I used all three for the second time this morning, and already notice my skin has a smoother and softer appearance and texture. This morning I used a lot less powder on the puff and it toned down the oil without having the "I just powdered my face" look.

I'm going to continue to use the powder until it's gone and then make a determination whether to continue using that or just the Cleanser/Toner and Day Lotion.

This product line is expensive for me and I was able to obtain 5 sample sets of the Cleanser + Toner as well as the SPF Face Lotion. I did not want to invest a lot of money before I found out whether it was going to work for me.

I am 23 and I have a long history of skin issues, as I have had mild-moderate acne for the past 9 or 10 years. It has always been a hassle for me and I have tried many, many, manymanymanymany products, but nothing has ever worked for my skin. I pretty much accepted the fact that I would always have terrible skin and I would never be able to do anything about it. I felt pretty hopeless. I have combination skin and products made specifically for acne (typically containing Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid) generally dry out my skin and make matters worse. For the first few days, I had tiny breakouts on my face, but it cleared up within 2 days and I have not had a new breakout since. My face is clearing and my skin is really glowing sometimes. For once, I feel relieved of skin issues and I feel pretty. Happy. The products do a wonderful job of keeping my skin moisturized and balanced, but not oily at all. I feel like FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE, I have normal skin. It's a good feeling.

I am absolutely, positively going to invest in these products when I run out of my samples. A little bit goes a LONG way, so even though t is expensive for me, it seems worth it. This is the first time in my life that I have ever found products that work for my skin.

I only gave this 4 stars because I liked the old line better. Still, this is a great product compared to anything else I have ever used. The powder is really only usefull if you have redness in your skin though. If that is not an issue for you, you may want to consider skipping that item. If you do have redness, it is effective at temporarily reducing that coloring. The products have a refreshing smell and as usual with Arbonne, a little bit goes a long way.

The product smells wonderful and the containers are beautiful. I chose to try this set as I've used unscented Arbonne sensitive skin products in the past and had a lot of success with them.

I found the set to be hydrating and refreshing at first, though I was surprised at how strong the scent was. The first 2 weeks on the regimen my skin seemed to clear up. I followed the directions on each product carefully to ensure that they would work as intendedthis set was a bit more than I was willing to spend and I wanted to make sure I didn't waste the investment! Unfortunately, after those first 2 weeks my skin got more oily, itchy, red, and splotchy. In fact, my skin got so itchy and irritated that I had to stop using it altogether.

My experience could have been an allergic reaction to the fruits or fragrances used in the product, but I won't buy this product again.

I never write reviews but I am so happy with this product that I had to share my experience. I have fairly large pores, clogging, scars and cystic acne. I've used a glycolic acid toner in the past and it helped, so I decided to give up my old regimen because it was not working. I was using salycilic acid face wash and retinol night cream and my skin was progressively getting worse. After 3 days of using this face wash along with Reviva glycolic acid night cream my skin looks soooo much better. Almost all of the clogging is GONE. My cystic acne is gone, my pores look smaller, and for the first time I actually have even skin tone. Extremely happy with this product! I can't even remember the last time I was able to go without foundation or concealer. The only problem is that my skin is very sensitive to sunlight now, I always wear sunblock but I'll probably need to wear a hat for the rest of the summer as well.
