After using the Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Wash every day for over 2 weeks, no changes in the teen's skin with acne have been observed. The product claims to "fight 100% of acne" but has not done so in the time it was used. It might depend on the type of skin someone has, but it certainly does not work for this one with acne. Ahava Moisturizing Salt Soap, 3.40 Ounce

I love this soap and I have found that my dry skin is not dried out by this salty soap. I first bought this in a discount store. I know I want to continue using this so I am very happy to find that Amazon has it available. Surprisingly, the description says to avoid your face, but I specifically use the bar on my face without any issue. I've been using this soap for over a year and I love it!

I am a big fan of the Ahava Mud Bar Soap and didn't expect to love this one as much, but I prefer it now that it's cold out. The soap is very mild but lathers well. I use it with exfoliating gloves. It is actually very moisturizing and I started to notice a difference after 3 days of use. My skin feels smoother. Very nice. I love the mud bar during the hot months but it didn't help my dry skin once winter hit. I'm glad I switched to this. I also use it on my face, despite the dire warning and have had no issues. My face even feels smoother and I've had no breakouts. The bar is expensive but I only need 1 a month. I switch off between this and Ahava's Mineral shower gel.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, For All Skin Types

When I find a product to be excellent, I tend to remain loyal. I may try others, but I return to the one which continues to prove it's excellence year after year. Despite more costly products I've tried as samples, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser has been my cleanser of choice for many years. I've tried a generic brand from CVS and found it to be much more slimy and thick than the real thing and gave it away to a less scrutinizing customer.

My skin and eyes are extremely sensitive and can become dry, so I am very cautious when trying new products. This one was recommended by a dermatologist and I'm very grateful for the suggestion because it meets my desires in a cleanser. It is extremely gentle, fragrance free and can be used directly on my eyes. I apply it onto my dry face, rub it all over, including the eyelids, then rinse it off and pat my face dry. Although it comes in a pump bottle, I put a little in a sample size bottle because that takes up less space in the medicine cabinet and I never have drips fall anywhere. I wash the little bottle to keep it germ free. I gave a large bottle to my sister because she was so impressed by the cleansing power, too. Her initial reaction was that it was a little slimy, but after using it as I suggested, she agreed that it is a superior product and a bargain. In all honesty, I don't know if she's returned to using CHANEL cleanser, but I am as faithful to Cetaphil as I am to Kiehl's for all other skin care products. If you too have sensitive skin, try the Kiehl's Cucumber Tonic after cleansing for a nice treat.

I've used this skin cleanser for close to 20 years and love it!!! Very gentle, doesn't dry out skin and removes makeup wonderfully. Gentle enough to remove eye makeup too. Leaves skin moisturized and soft. Be sure not to confuse with Cetaphil's Daily Facial Cleanser...totally different, but deceivingly similarly looking on the shelf.

okay, i never had teen acne, not even in my 20's. I'm 33 now. I started breaking out 2 years ago in January and I have purchased COUNTLESS products (mostly from Amazon because of the reviews) to treat the acne. My dermatologist gave me a free sample of this after being diagnosed with facial eczema. Here are the pros: gentle, non-irritating, fragrance free, won't burn even on inflamed skin.

Now the cons: contains parabens and SLS's. I won't get into why these chemicals are bad for us here, please take a moment to research those to form your own opinion. Also this cleanser has like a mucus texture to it. Kinda gross feeling.

It doesn't lather either. But it does remove make-up, and any other gook on your face.

I do pair this with Cetaphil Fragrance Free Moisturizing Lotion, 16-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2), which I do recommend highly.

Bottom line is it's gentle for even the most sensitive skin, but I'm gonna keep looking for a natural alternative that won't burn my skin.

Cetaphil is an amazing product. Our family has been using it for the longest time. It is not sudsy like ordinary soap which makes it very easy to rinse. NIA24 Physical Cleansing Scrub

My doctor gave me a sample of the NIA24 product line when I asked how I could prevent age spots (I'm 37), and I fell in love with it. I've been using it about a year now, and won't switch. There's nothing I hate more than using a face wash and then my skin feels dry. This doesn't happen with this product. It has a clean citrus smell which will make you worry it is too much like those orange cleaning products, but it is really nice when you get used to it. I think it is fine for sensitive skin because there are no texturizers. This has also reduced a great deal of redness in broken capillaries.

I'm 28 years old and have acne prone oily skin that is very sensitive to scrubs. The only thing I've been able to use to exfoliate is fruit acids or aha since they are gentler than stuff rubbing on my skin. For years I used the neutrogena healthy skin face lotion with aha and 2.5% benzoyl peroxide for acne. It did a great job exfoliating but left my skin greasy and those products are full of chemicals. I got fed up one day and thought I'd try natural kiss my face products. When I use the face wash I lightly rub it in for about 1-2 minutes then rinse...the fruit acids need time to be absorbed. I then apply the breakout gel kiss my face sells also to prevent acne and then their cell mate lotion. I recommend this face wash to people with sensitive/oily skin who are fed up with scrubs. I was worried that the 5% fruit acids wouldn't be enough but it is. Great product!!

I ordered this thinking it was a regular exfoliating cleanser with small particles like ground apricot seed powder, but it's not like that at all. It's a gel with a strong but nice fresh citrus smell. It cleans and rinses well, and it has made my skin quite soft. Plus it has great natural ingredients. But if you're looking for a mechanical/abrasive exfoliator, this isn't it, fair warning.

Update: This has become my favorite face wash. I now only use 'abrasive' exfoliators when my face is really grimy; otherwise, this does the trick. It removes my facial sunscreen and leaves my face feeling refreshed and clean, without residue.

I have had skin problems my whole life. Not acne, thank you!, but dry skin that cracks and flakes during the late fall and winter months and horribly oily skin in the spring and summer months. This is a good foaming soap, and like all coconut oil soaps, gets the grime off easily. However if you are one of the thousands of people reactive to citric acid, this product has citric acid as an ingredient.

Shea Terra Organics - Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Wash & Mask

Ready for the softest skin of your life?

I heard about this soap through a make-up video blogger who was a model on a shoot I photographed. She was very enthusiastic about this product, so I had to give it a try. This black soap is amazing, and probably unlike anything you've tried before if you are used to conventional face washes. This stuff really breaks down dead skin and works as a mild micro-dermabrasion. Your face will literally be squeaky clean when you finish using it. I found that using it daily was at times too much for my skin, and I would peel a little bit. So expect a bit of experimenting to find out what works best for you. I use it about 3 times a week. (I also use the Moroccan mint black soap on the days I don't use the Rose Hips soap. The mint version which they now market as a body wash is a bit milder and I like the minty tingle.)

This soap (which really is black) has a thick, jelly like consistency. You only need a small amount, but note that it will not lather like a traditional facewash. It doesn't really need to lather to work, but some people find it more satisfying to see lather. If you are one of those people, follow these instructions:

-Start with a dry face/hands. This is key, people are using way too much water, and when you add a lot of water to something that's like a jelly, the product just ends up in your sink.

Pump a nickle-sized amount of product into your palm, rub it a bit so it breaks down, and then use your fingers to start working it into your face. As you rub the soap, it will break down from a thick, jelly-like consistency, to something that resembles mud. Get it to that muddy point on a couple spots on your face. You are not using any water at this point.

This stuff is thick, so you'll still have some left on your palm. Now add just a few drops of water. You only need a tiny amount of water! Lather the soap in your palm until you have a good amount of later, and then apply that to your face. From here on out, just work the product into your face and add a tiny bit more water if necessary.

Using this method will allow you to get lots of lather, but it is a slower process than a normal face wash. If it starts to dry down, you can add a few more drops of water and keep it lathering indefinitely.

When using this product as a mask, I just rub it into my palm until it looks muddy, apply it, and let it dry down. A little water worked into a small part will start it lathering when you want to take it off.

One last tip, this stuff is black, and if you don't rinse it all off, expect to have marks on your towels. For this reason I usually use it before I hop in the shower. I put it on outside the shower, because too much water will cause the product not to lather and slip down the drain.

This soap is supposed to dissolve dead skin and you will feel some stinging as the enzymes do their magic. I didn't find it to be that bad, to me it's enough to feel like it's working. My skin does not feel tight after rinsing. I know some people have mentioned the odor I honestly don't even notice it anymore. It smells different, but not bad. I'd prefer something that smells natural to chemical fragrances any day.

This soap will give you amazingly soft skin. I have never been one to be really loyal to one brand of face cleaner or shampoo, but I have been buying this stuff for about 2 years now and don't see myself ever stopping. It's one of the only products I use that I actually make sure I stock up on well before I run out.

After using this product for a week, I've gotten the same results as one microderm abrasion. I would purchase this product again.

This product is pretty nice. I'm not quite curly, just wavy and frequently frizzy. Poo-free products are the way to go for me, and this one seems to do a pretty nice job. It gets my hair a little cleaner than scrubbing up with conditioner alone, which is exactly what I'm looking for, but there is an adjustment period. I don't have any trouble with the packaging like a previous reviewer mentions, however, the smell is very perfumey. It doesn't follow you all day, but in the shower, it's strong and overpowering, and it bothers me quite a lot. I'll finish out this bottle, but I probably won't buy it again.

I really like this cleanser. First, you don't have to use much to get your face very clean. A dab will do you when using this product. Next, the smell is mild and non offensive. It's not chemical and it isn't too herbal/floral. Lastly, after washing with this, I did not have dry skin patches around my mouth or my nose. Most cleansers left those dry patches on my face. It provides enough moisture without it being so much that you will breakout if you have sensitive skin.

Pricey, but so good for my skin and has not only cleared it up, but brightened it up and made it a lot softer. I'm a convert and glad that I found this gem. I have 38 year old combination skin with hormonal breakouts and this stuff has cured that. Worked quickly. Noticed a difference within days.

Make no mistake about it, my son has been dealing with acne for three years and it's a difficult run. However, what I have noticed is, there is a difference between brand name products that have the same ingredients. I'm not sure what it is, but he will have a product work very well for a while and then it stops working. At that point, if we change products, he gets better results. I did notice that Medica is one of the better brands that is very good at doing what it is supposed to do. He was using Proactive before with very good results. It had stopped working well for six months, so my sister-in-law, who is a cosmetic laser tech, recommended this namebrand product. It is worth the money that you'll spend for it. But keep in mind that it depends on what kind of acne you have. If you are a teenage boy and you have hormones that are causing the problem with acne, it's not going to be a miracle cure. It just helps control the oil that is a product of the rampant hormones. For severe acne, it's best to use this in an arsenal of weapons: including a healthy diet (low on dairy/caffeine/sugar), plenty of rest, less stress, more exercise, and increased water consumption.

Softsoap Apricot Sunshine - Liquid Hand Soap, 7.5 Ounce

This soap not only works great, but it smells AMAZING too. I find myself making excuses to wash my hands just so that I can use it and take in the wonderful fragrance. I haven't seen this in stores up until recently but I love it.

As a shampoo and body wash, this product does not lather as much as I had hoped. My skin did not feel particularly clean but then it did not feel particularly dirty either. This is also the first mint shampoo that did not refresh/stimulate/impart-tingly-feeling-on my scalp. Its just a regular no frills shampoo.

As a bubble bath this product sucks, the few bubbles that did appear disintegrated in less than five minutes.

I am unimpressed.

I love the product, I had used it before, but this merchant was deceiving in the size. The picture was a full size bottle and for the price that is what I thought I was purchasing when in reality it was a sample size. WAY over priced for a sample size.

Zents Fresh Bar Soap

If you don't like wearing perfume (or even if you do) this soap is phenomenal for giving you a super-fresh scent! I've had people ask me what I'm wearing (perfume-wise) and actually it was the soap! It's light and fresh that even my boyfriend loves to use it. It's also very moisturizing. I'm going to order the lotion!!
