Aveeno Baby Organic Harvest Lotion, 5 Ounce

This is one of the best baby lotions I've used for my toddler. I love the way it feels, absorbs very fast leaving no greasy residue. It has no scent either which is great for sensitive skin. The pump makes it easy to dispense too. I love this lotion so much I've started using it on myself. Highly recommend this product!

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Aveeno is offering a truly USDA-certified organic baby lotion with 12 simple ingredients, and only 3 non-organic but otherwise safe ingredients. This is an encouraging leap in the right direction for Aveeno (owned by Johnson & Johnson) and I sincerely hope that other mainstream companies follow Aveeno's lead. There are many other USDA-certified organic lotions (Mercola, Dr. Bronner's, Nourish, etc.) on the market that are great and I love them, but unfortunately they contain alcohol (as a preservative) and/or fragrances which irritate my daughter's eczema and otherwise sensitive skin. So far, the Aveeno lotion does not irritate her skin and has not caused any adverse reactions, rashes or eczema flare-ups. In fact, it has been working really well to moisturize her skin and keep redness at bay. (My mother also loves the stuff and uses it as body lotion for herself!). I was slightly disappointed at first when I tried the lotion because it is not as thick as I expected. It is a very lightweight, water-based lotion that has a high percentage of aloe vera gel in it, given its overall texture. However, it really seems to work! It also absorbs very quickly which makes it easy to apply to a squirmy toddler. I would still love to see Aveeno offer a thicker version of this lotion, perhaps with more shea butter, designed to treat eczema and related skin issues. In the meantime, I highly recommend this lotion!

I am very disappointed in this product. The two times it was used, it left red blotches on my daughters face. My wife hadn't told me about the first time or else there would not have been a second time. After seeing this, we washed her again using another organic product and it cleared up the problem.

I expected better from Aveeno.

I bought this lotion for myself since I dislike most lotions and many fragrances used in lotions irritate my skin. No adverse reaction gets a thumbs up from me! However I was a little weirded out by the watery-ness of the lotion. It does absorb quickly which is nice, but the aloe vera in it leaves me feeling awkwardly tacky. Use too much and it sheds off like peeling skin. Overall I do like it, but for the retail price I see it online and in stores I don't think I'll be buying it again for myself when this is gone.

I bought this one for my 2 yr old since he has got a very sensitive skin. Not only this lotion is expensive but the quantity is so less, it lasts for only 15 days and leaves skin dry , when applied liberaly it sheds off looking like dandruf all over the body and gives rashes too. Not at all worth money, Also this lotion is not avilable in all the stores.
