L'Occitane Cleansing Hand Wash

I like this A LOT. I buy it when I can. Now, to be honest, the item I bought does not look like the one pictured in that the label is different. L'Occitane changed their formula on the lavender a few years ago and so I refuse to buy the new products. They added other things to it and on me, it now smells like urine! So I buy the hand wash in original formula. I can no longer buy the bath gel in original formula, nor can one buy the eau d'toilette in the original formula. And some years ago, they discontinued their wonderful lavender perfum oil. I hate when companies can't leave a good thing alone!

I didn't originally go looking for African Black Soap. I just happened upon this brand at a beauty supply store a few years ago. Shower with any of these fragrant soaps -morning or night -and you won't need any other fragrance. They really give a rich lather, have Shea butter and cocoa butter, and these dense bars last a very long time. You'll love how you smell, and so will everyone else. Also leaves your bathroom smelling nice after the shower!

This is a hard-milled verbena (lemon scent) soap that rinses away cleanly and does not soften in the soap dish. As a result, a bar of it lasts longer than other soaps. And you come away feeling (and smelling) clean.

I got a 1.7 fluid oz tube of this as a part of an Estee Lauder gift set. The product comes out as a very thick pearly paste. Keep in mindvery little of it goes a long way. It foams up very nicely and imparts a very pleasant delicate scent. The product rinses off very cleanly and leaves no feeling of residue. My face feels so fresh and clean and I feel like I just treated my face to a mini-spain just a few minutes! I say this is worth the higher price tag because you need to use so little of it. However, when I do use them, I feel a slight tingling (almost tightening) sensation in my skin that makes me think I would see drastic results If I did. Has a perfumy fragrance that I could do without, but the affect it has on my facial skin is very nice. Eucerin Redness Relief Soothing Facial Cleanser-6.8 oz

I have what my dermatologist describes as mild to moderate rosacea. This problem has been getting progressively worse over a long period of time. I have never used any other product specifically for my rosacea except the medications perscribed by my doctor. While doing some research on the internet about rosacea I came across Eucerin as a sponsor of one of the sites. I already use a product from this company for a hand lotion and knew that it did a fabulous job for that and I began to wonder if the Redness Relief line might work also.

I have been using the Redness Relief Soothing Cleanser twice a day for two weeks now. I can see a marked difference in my face. I realize that all the instructions for this product state that for best results you should use if consistently for four weeks and I fully intend to do that.

Now, for some specific information. This is one of those tubes which sit on the opening/cap. DO NOT open the tube with it in that position. The product is rather thin and the first time I used it I had about a week's worth of product in my hand before I realized what was happening. I hold the tube sideways and squeeze out an amount about the size of a dime. Believe me, it is sufficient to cleanse my entire face. One slight drawback is that my skin does feel rather "tight" after the skin has completely dried. I don't think it would be very comfortable to just leave it that way. I use the Redness Relief Soothing Moisture Lotion in the daytime and the Rednes Relief Soothing Night Creme at bedtime. I am extremely sensitive to smells and odor and am very pleased to say that none of these products have any fragrance at all. (Some products claim to be fragrance free but if you are sensitive you find that it is often not a true claim.)

I will update this information after the full four weeks have elapsed. I hope my experience will help you in your decision making. I had trouble finding all three of these products at any one spot (in fact, I never did find the Night Creme here) so I just ordered all of them from Amazon.

****April 26, 2008****My trial period is up and now for the update. I have seen a high degree of difference in my skin tone since using the three Eucerin products. I would estimate as much as a 75% improvement. Since I have never used any cosmetics my rosacea has become more and more of a problem because people (friends) have begun to notice and be concerned for me. These three products, used on a daily basis, have made a huge, noticeable difference.

On the negative side, the skin cleanser leaves my face feeling tight and dry each and every time I use it. I would be very unhappy using this product by itself. Since I use a Eucerin lotion product for daytime and a cream at night,they take care of the discomfort. On the plus side, a very small amount goes a long way and there truly is no fragrance. People who are not sensitive to smell really cannot understand why that is so important. But, if you are like me, you know exactly why that is a very important factor in choosing this product.

I know that the combination of these three products has made a great deal of difference to me. If I were to stop using one of them, say this cleanser, would I still get the result I have now? I don't know. I'm not willing to experiment with leaving off the cleanser yet. Besides, I've still got several months of product in the tube. I had a mild flair-up of my rosacea during the trial period. I had to use my prescription medication, no choice. The combination of these products have a cosmetic effect only, they do not cure or heal rosacea. But then, they don't claim to do that.

I have tried everything under the sun for gentle frangrance free cleansers, and this is the best so far. No drynes, no redness, no acne! FINALLY A PRODUCT I AM NOT ALLERGIC TO!!!! THANK YOU.

This product made my skin really dry. After I use it I can see dry patches on my cheeks and forehead and it appears that my skin is peeling. It also did not reduce redness. This product may work for some, but was not helpful to my sensitive skin. On a positive note, it doesn't sting or irritate my skin.

As a rule of thumb, gel cleansers are not for dry skin and as a person who has been on accutane for the past 5 months let me just say that rule holds true in this instance. If you are on accutane or have dry skin in general I would stay away from this product since it just irritated me after only 2 washes. Instead I would recommend Cetaphil gentle cleanser and you will be fine. The night creme is a nice compliment if you have dry peeling skin and need relief, but pass on the cleanser.

I can't speak for rosacea/acne sufferer's, so I would not deter those individuals from trying this product. No two people have the same reaction to every product, but if you have dry, sensitive skin beware!

I love clay soaps and this one has a great smell and washes off clean. You might need a moisturizer in the winter when skin is naturally drier, but in the summer I don't find a need. I have sensitive skin, so the more natural and the fewer ingredients, the better.

This soap has one of the best scents,, its a delicate Jasmine scent which is not fake like those perfume soaps you get at the supermarket this soap is the real deal . along with the Moroccan clay,, it makes it feel like silk along your body,, it also has plenty of lather, I HIGHLY recommend any of these soaps, but especially this one

I wanted to buy a face brush, I was concerned that I would be tearing up my skin with a clarisonic or another type of electronic dupe. I thought to try a manual face brush for cleansing and exfoliation purposes, and I have sensitive skin. I knew by other reviews that this face brush was like one used by Shiseido, who has very fine skin care products, known for their quality. So I decided to try this, and was very pleasantly rewarded with a soft, rosy complexion. I don't overdo this, and exfoliate with a brush 3 times a week. I do use a complexion wash with this, so it is gently helping my skin. I am 51, and am told that I do not look it, most folks think I am in my late 30's. Take care of your skin now, and you won't need a lot of "help" later on.

I also think most folks DON'T need a clarisonic-type brush for their skin, we've been doing without one for most of human history. I think a manual brush with gentle cleansers, drinking water to rehydrate the skin from the INSIDE, and eating a balanced diet is enough. And good skincare and balanced makeup. Don't overdo it, easy does it!

Lavanila The Healthy Body Wash 2-in-1 Shower & Shave-Vanilla Lavender-8 oz.

I love this stuff so much! It's great for shaving. It smells phenomenal!

I really like the vanilla lavender, but the vanilla grapefruit, and vanilla passion fruit are also really lovely to smell.

I have long hair, like down to my waistline. Its not super thick but tends to get oily. I can't use cream conditioners because they give me a rash so my normal routine was shampoo and then once out of the shower a spray in leave in conditioner.

I got this item as a gift for Christmas and well, I watched the DVD and still wasn't sure...but I figured if they state that this replaces conditioner, deep conditioner, leave in conditioner...it be cool if it worked.

I will admit, I didn't use cold water but warm water. The time to follow the whole process may be to much for a busy person who just jumps in and jumps out. You must be able to take a little time with this. I consider it my spa time, relax and enjoy pampering yourself. I didn't do everything perfect....warm water, didn't use as much as maybe they would like me too but I was honestly pleased with the results.

The first thing I noticed was the texture of my hair. It just felt different, some people may not like it. It feels a little course at first but when it drys it's very soft. The second thing I noticed, I could comb it out without using any other product. It wasn't tangled or anything. I also enjoyed the smell of this one (Pomegranate). Once my hair dried it was noticeable shiny.

So for the bit of work you have to to do...I like it. The smell is great too. I can't wait to try the other scents. I do suggest that you make sure to rinse out the product well or it will feel oily and waited down...I normally do the process first then do all the other things, like shave and loofa...its my mini spa time.

Make sure you use enough of the product. The first time I used I didn't follow the directions. So I didn't really get the results I wanted. So, my hair I just passed my shoulder. I used 20 pumps and let it sit in my hair for about 4 minutes. Wow what a difference. Then followed but 20 pumps for conditioning. 1 last pump as a leave in. My hair is wonderful soft and no tangles at the nape of my neck. Love love this product.

I so far have tried Fig and Pomegranate. I love them both and do find differences in how they leave your hair. The Fig tends to make it a bit silkier, but not as much volume. I think the Pomegranate smells better, but I am not turned off by any scent as long as the end result looks good. Besides, the scent fades once dry. I have more body with the Pomegranate, but my hair is a bit more flyaway. Both clean my scalp very well and I can go a few days between washes. Both leave my hair softer and silkier. I still have Lavender and Sweet Almond Mint to try. My daughter, who has straighter, silkier, thinner, non frizzy hair loved the Sweet Almond Milk. I also don't use quite as much as they suggest. I have never had better results with any other brand of shampoo, and believe me I have tried soooooo many!

I waited a few weeks before I wrote this review because I was soooo impressed with the results that I thought it couldn't be true. I decided I should use this for a few weeks and see if I was still impressed. I AM!!!! I can't believe how thick and soft my hair feels. I have naturally wavy hair and it holds a style real well but when it rains...humidity makes it go crazy, lol. Not now though, it can rain, rain, rain and my hair stays soft and frizz free. I have also ordered the Almond and it was waaay to heavy for my hair. It made my hair feel greasy. I have come to the conclusion that different scents are for different hair types. My hair is long length,(past my shoulders) fine/medium hair shafts, (but I have alot of hair) and like I mentioned earlier, wavy. Pomegranate works great if you have this type of hair. I have noticed they also have a cucumber scent which I read is for hair that needs volume. I may try it just to see if it works. I have read a lot of reviews(mostly people that buy WEN off QVC) that say they lost big chunks of hair after using this product.

I have had no such thing happen and neither has my husband..unless something goes majorly wrong. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO REGULAR SHAMPOO EVER...I AM A WEN GIRL FOR LIFE..but in the event that something does go wrong I will update this review. =)

NutraLuxe MD Paraben Free Botanical Cleanser

This cleanser came with my Nutrasonic and I had no intention of using it, since I really liked my current cleanser. But after a few weeks I was curious, and to my surprise, liked this one even more. You need just a tiny amount, so it will really last, and it rinses so easily and completely I don't need a toner. Also like that it's made from natural botanicals, not a mess of chemicals. Recommend highly.

I bought this product with the toner and the vitamin c complex. The system together, rocks. I use this cleanser with or without my brush (nutra sonic) and it performs great. WEN® Fig Replenishing Treatment Mist 6oz

I use only WEN for my cleansing/conditioning and have for the past 2-3yrs. I added this product into my regime about a year ago, I think, and haven't looked back. I spray it on just before drying, smoosh and comb it in and it leaves my hair silky smooth and shiny, LOVE IT! Smells good too! I also have this product in the pomegranate scent and love that too!

I have such dry hair. I love this stuff. It's a bit pricey which is why I on'y gave it 4 stars. It detangles without breaking like nothing else. I also love the smell.

Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Facial Cleanser

I recommend this to close friends. My 4 yrs exp. is that a lil goes a long way. You need to gently massage ur face with a pea sized amount, and if ur skin adversely reacts at first, start out small. I have healthy adult male skin, but it's cleaned up black heads, virtually no breakouts, wonderful smell & a nice glow. I agree with what a Pro* told me, drinking lots of water, eating healthy, but mainly low sugar (less collagen breakdown) and sun protection, along with a good moisturizer are key. I purchased this product because the price was more reasonable than in the department stores. I love the product and think it does a great job both cleaning and exfoliating my face without overdrying it. I only dropped a star because instead of one bottle, I got two smaller bottles which I thought was weird.

I have very dry and very greasy combination skin. I have tried many products over the years. Most of which either dry me out, break me out or cause me to become very oily and splotchy.

Some years ago, I went to work for Clarins. I have since stopped working for the company, but continue to use their facial cleansing products. (Some of the other products I like, some I do not. The line over all is expensive but generally worth the price in my opinion.)

The One Step is by far the best cleanser I have ever found. Not only does it clear up my blotchy oily/dry flaky patches, it helps to balance out areas where I have freckling and skin damage. My skin is so soft and I never have flairs of acne anymore.

I am 35 years old and after using this product for two years, I am often mistaken for someone about to turn 30.

I once tried this at a mall on the persistence of a sales person, and loved it instantly. She did a small patch of my skin, and I liked the fact that it became clean and not dry. It mositurises as well as cleans, and it smells so good and fresh. Love it. Even my husband uses it all the time.

My doctor recommended this soap for me over 10 years ago to help with my eczema and sensitive skin. It keeps the moisture in and doesn't dry out skin like other soaps. For the face, though, it can still be somewhat drying in the winter. The only product better than this for the face is Aquanil, which is water-based but a bit expensive to use for the entire body.

I'm allergic to most traditional soaps and develop dry and itchy skin when using them. With Yardley, I do not have this problem. It's gentle but leaves me feeling really clean. It rinses away quickly and easily, leaving no residue. Also has a nice, subtle scent. Does a better job than oatmeal-based soaps.

First, this product delivers, and I've used top of the line like Furterer for years. I wanted to switch to safer shampoo without compromising on results. I have double processed platinum blonde hair that MUST be meticulously maintained in order to prevent my hair from frying or breaking off. I've always had dandruff, but then my scalp recently became dry and itchy. Late one night I caught Wen on QVC hawking the benefits of conditioning shampoo and tea tree oil on dry scalp and dandruff. I decided to try it out, but skipped it for the Sally Beauty Supply "Hair One" knock-off which is more reasonably priced. My scalp and dandruff were noticeably improved from the tea tree oil, but my hair just never felt clean. The conditioning shampoo left my hair feeling greasy and looking greasy after less than a day after condition cleaning. I finally gave in and went back to regular shampoo and used Hair One only as a conditioner.

I then stumbled upon Dermorganics at a local TJ Maxx, and having not given up on conditioning shampoos completely I bought a bottle to try out after doing some online research.

Having used this product for about two weeks now I've found that my hair has definitely improved in texture and feel. It's softer and shinier, but my hair is still slightly frizzy. My scalp does not feel dry or itchy anymore. Dermorganics does not have tea tree oil in its product so I do notice my dandruff, but I plan on just mixing in pure tea tree oil to the bottle. This conditioning shampoo also LATHERS which makes a huge difference in the amount of product I have to pump and use on my hair. It's not bubble bath lather, but at least it's something and the amount of product I have to use is infinitely less than Wen or Hair One's recommendations for my hair length.

This is a great conditioning shampoo that I plan to use as long as it exists. I don't miss traditional shampoos at all and do not plan on going back to them.
