Dandruff Shampoo

I decided to purchase this product because it is gluten free and contains some awesome products. I felt that I had a mild case of dandruff or buildup, that other shampoos might be making worst. Even though I use organic shampoos and conditioners, however after much research I believe that I need to stay away from shampoos and conditioners containing wheat. So I decided after many years of coming across this site and staying away because of the high prices, that at least I'm getting 16oz.

I have type 4 hair which is very thick, coily and dry.

What this shampoo has done for my hair

I don't use this as much as the conditioner, only if my hair starts to have build up in the scalp, if I go in the pool or go to the beach. Or after 2 to 3 weeks of wearing my hair in braids.

It cleans my hair without stripping it.

My scalp doesn't have the white build up as much anymore, but I find that was also do to not cleansing my scalp enough.

I even cleanse my hair more, because I use the conditioner that goes along with this shampoo as a co-wash every day. The conditioner allows me to detangle my hair in the shower very easily with my shower comb 5 minutes or less, but I only have about 5 inches of hair, because I big chopped for the second time. My first hair journey my hair grew as long as 18 inches. Now I'm going to do the co-wash every 3 days, just to save on water and product, but I don't rinse the conditioner out I leave it in.

You have to shake the bottle like they say on the instructions they send you, I also rub the shampoo in my hand very well before applying to my hair. I find that if I have my hair in a protective style for a long time, then I will have to shampoo my hair with this product 3 times to get it thoroughly clean, but it still doesn't leave my hair stripped. I've been a huge lover of Giovanni products for awhile, but even though their shampoo is cheap and organic the shampoo leaves my hair with a strip feeling. I may need to use the giovanni if I feel my hair needs a good cleaning, but this company also sells a shampoo like that.

I'm so impressed with this product that I'm trying other products in their hair care line.

I also purchased the dandruff conditioner that goes along with this shampoo and it is awesome. I now also have their dry hair lotion and their adult acne facial bar. I just purchased their conditioner for african american hair, because my dandruff conditioner is running low.

This stuff really works and best of all you can smell the natural ingredients in every wash, that being said I would like to tell all about my dandruff problem...I have had a really bad type of dandruff and have been trying to get rid of it for more than 3 years and nothing has worked like the just natural dandruff shampoo. Anyone who is skepticle about buying this shampoo should not be because it really works!!!! Love this product

I've had dandruff forever and have used all types of products, from the obvious Head & Shoulders to the old school T-gel. Nothing has had such a tremendous, initially positive result as this product.

PROS: IT WORKS! Enough said. After just one use, you'll be able to tell.

CONS: Yes, it does smell; however, it's really not that bad and only lasts a couple hours. Honestly, this wasn't even a con.

I bought this shampoo for my teenage son whose hormones are out of control. His dandruff was making him slightly less miserable than his facial breakouts. I avoid products with chemicals for my family as much as possible, so I was thrilled to find this shampoo as well as the dandruff conditioner on the internet. The first time he skipped it in the shower and used something else, the dandruff was back. He's not wild about the smell, but I explained to him that the products are made with natural ingredients, and while the manufacturer could cover them up with chemicals, that would defeat the purpose of going natural. He's sold on them though, since they work. I also bought some for my mom for her birthday, as her dandruff has always been really bad. Not anymore! She only uses the shampoo as she doesn't like conditioners, but that's all she needs. So while I don't personally need the products, I highly recommend them. They are pricer than store bought products, but I consider the fact that they work and that they're natural to make them worth the extra price.

I have very thick, curly, long hair and suffer from severe dandruff. I have tried many different products out there and so far haven't really found anything to "fix" my scalp issue. This is definitely a good product, although a little pricey. I didn't notice too much of a difference in the severity of my dandruff, but that is most likely due to the condition of my hair and scalp, and not because the product didn't work. I would recommend this to anyone with mild to moderate dry scalp and dandruff. It smells great and I loved that it isn't drying, like other dandruff shampoos.
