I am perplexed...this is marketed or sensitive skin yet it STINGS when I use it. I've never had a "gentle" face wash do this and I've used just about every brand in existence. The description says this product lathers. It does NOT lather by any stretch of the imagination. It lathers about as much as plain water...not one sud, bubble, tiny bit of anything, period. I contacted the seller and they said it is a light lather...um, no it's not. This product barely removed makeup unless you wash twice AND use a Clarisonic. I've used a lot of Avene products in the past with no issues. This one is going in the trash.
I have tried a few gel cleansers before and gave up on them because I didn't feel like they were cleaning my face effectively, they somehow made my face feel sticky even after rinsing properly. I came across some product reviews for Avene Gel Cleanser for combination skin so I gave it a try. I am very impressed that even if this feels very gentle on my face, after rinsing and towel drying, I actually feel clean and refreshed. I highly recommend this with Avene Gentle Toner, they work amazing together and you can even spray some Avene Thermal Spring water on your face after and let it dry naturally. This has become my AM/PM cleansing routine and I just totally love it!
