The Clarisonic Mia2 has oversized packaging complete with skin elasticity curve charts that explain little and before and after images of fluorescent makeup removed via Clarisonic or manual cleansing. Instructions indicate two speeds for a timed cleansing cycle of 60 seconds with three zones: forehead for 20 seconds, nose/chin for 20 seconds, then each cheek for 10 seconds. Now skeptical, I suspect even a washcloth if used for a full minute can improve results. Who has a minute?
Then I tried it. Then my fifteen-year old daughter tried it.
From the first use, my skin felt cleaner, fresher and tighter. I splashed on toner and could feel it penetrate the skin. By the second day, the pores across the bridge of my nose were visibly smaller and the tissue under my eyes looked brighter. By the third day, I wondered if I am imagining the uneven texture pockets shrinking. The pores on my forehead were also retreating. By day five, I calculated how long it would take to use on my entire body.
My daughter wants one and I foresee never needing another facial. Now I would pay a monthly subscription fee to keep my Mia2. My face is as smooth as a Barbie's thigh and flawlessly absorbs skin creams. Those lavish serums and moisturizers can now reach my skin and do their job. Yes!
No washcloth ever made me hold my head higher. That is worth any price.I bought this, like many others, after reading all the reviews I could find on it. A friend of mine, who has glowing skin, owns one, and that sealed the dealI bought it and have been using it for over a month now. The first thing I will say is that I wish I had saved $20 and bought the Mia. I never use the 2nd speed on the Mia 2 (the difference in the speeds is minimal) and the timer/beeping annoys meI would rather be able to freely use it around my face as feels best. So DEFINITELY save your money and buy the Mia not the Mia 2.
Despite eating a dairy-free organic diet, doing yoga, regular exercise, sugar-free, gluten-free, taking fish oil and probiotics regularly and using natural, organic high-quality skin care products my skin is constantly breaking outit is minimal acne (1-3 spots at a time) but acne nonetheless. I would say 25 days out of the month there are blemishes on my face and while they are small they still leave horrible red-marks. The result is that I am constantly having to use layers of concealer because not only am I breaking out but I have discoloration and red marks from the years of skin problems.
I was hoping the Clarisonic Mia would help alleviate the acne and fade the red marks. I noticed improved clarity within the first week and was VERY excitedI actually only used a brief cover of powder before going out which I haven't been able to do in ages. I called my sister and went on about how the Mia is a MIRACLE and all the reviews were true.
Well, since then my skin has gone back to normal. It looks absolutely NO different. I am thinking that what maybe caused the initial clearing up was the sample size cleanser I was using that had come with the Mia. It was of the Clarisonic Purifying Facial Gel. Once I ran out of that I went back to my usual cleanser and that is about when my skin returned to looking like, well, crap.
I went to Whole Foods and bought a different cleanser and gave that a try, but absolutely no change.
I am going to go and purchase the Clarisonic Purifying Face Wash and use that with the Mia before my final verdict. But even if that gets my skin looking great, it means that it has far more to do with the face wash than the Miaso why not just get the face wash and use a wash cloth?
Everyone is different, I'm still hoping to see a marked improvement in my skinbut other than that brief week my skin looks the same as usualno lessening in acne, no evening of skin-tone, no lessening of wrinkles, etc. and I don't feel like my skin care products are getting any more absorbed.
I'm sure this works for other people, just still waiting for it to work for me. I'll be sure to update if it does.
****UpdateI went to Sephora and bought the Clarisonic Oily/Normal skin purifying face wash and TADAgreat skin againso this is what worked magic. I give the mia 3 stars though because it really does get all your makeup offbut as for reducing acne, wrinkles etc I don't think so, at least not for me.

I had been hearing more about this little device and was intrigued, but felt like the cost and brush replacement hassle wasn't worth it. Over the last couple of months, despite all of my efforts with scrubs and washcloths, my face was getting more scaly. (I'm 41). I finally closed my eyes and said what the heck and purchased it. Yes the price is high, but I'm willing to pay for long-lasting quality.a) My first thought was it didn't seem like it was doing much. I wanted it to scrub harder. Was it really going to make a difference?
b) After only 6 days of use, my face is so much softer. I'm amazed and so far I'm very happy.
c) I've used the Sonicare toothbrush for a couple of years and I'm very happy with the quality of the company/products. So far this little Mia is great!
d) I don't know why you'd need the larger version with multiple speeds. This seems sufficient.

I am 33 years old and have ALWAYS had rough skin with large pores and minor bumps/blackheads/whiteheads throughout. My skin has NEVER been smooth, soft or glowing. And I've spent the last 10 years trying to get that beautiful skin through apricot srubs, exfoliating acid peels and professional facials when I could afford them. Those things made my skin better temporarily but definitely not perfect or even great. Then I "discovered "Clarisonic" and after reading about it I knew right away I had to try it!! INSTANTLY on my first use my skin was softer than I have EVER gotten using scrubs and peels!!! I literally was shocked! I had no idea my skin could be so soft and smooth I just thought the rough skin was just something I had to live with! Within weeks my skin got softer, smoother, more glowing, smaller pores (my favorite part!), no bumps or acne! I seriously look like I have an expensive facial done daily on my skin! Even my husband is hooked on this product! The product is easy to use and gentle. It came with a sensitive brush which I was worried wouldn't be effective enough but it's perfect. The ONLY thing is I wish I had gotten the Mia not the Mia 2. I don't think the extra money is worth it for the additional speed which I don't use (normal speed is perfect and i don't see the need for low speed) and I don't like the beeping timer that comes with it. I like to take my time running this around my face so it annoys me when it alerts me to move onto a different part of my face. Then after one minute it turns off and I have to restart it. 2 minutes is good for me. So this product is HEAVEN but I'd recommend saving your money and buying the Mia or even splurging for the classic or pro that comes with the body brush! That will be my next buy! ** I give the actual results 5 stars but took one star because I don't like the extra features of the Mia 2 for the extra cost.Want Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Cleansing System - White Discount?
I read many reviews before I purchased this item. I bought the Clarisonic because I was older and a video I watched which reviewed two brands of sonic skin cleansing systems said this one was better on older skin because the brush head was softer. Don't know how true that is because this brush head is a little scratchy if I don't put lots of cleanser on it. I haven't noticed this product has made my skin look any better but I don't mind using it and I feel it does clean my face a little better than a washcloth, which I still use to rinse my face. I actually added another step to my face cleansing process. It works mechanically just like it says it should and seems to be well made and holds a charge well. Over all I would rate this product as okay. If you are looking for a miracle to make your face look better, this isn't it. If you want to feel like your skin is cleansed better you will probably like this little machine.
