The quality is great, but as others have mentioned, these are a little smaller than you would probably expect. We make soap disks with the loofah embedded in it out of these. We slice it into aprox. 1" thick slices, so the length doesn't really matter. The smallish diameter is perfect for our mold, a 3" pvc pipe.

One thing I'd like to mention, beware extra low sounding prices for this item. Amazon is listing this as a 12 pack. We ordered from one vendor, and got a 1 pack. I was able to get them to refund shipping so the price I paid wasn't totally unreasonable. I've contacted 2 others and one of them admitted they were selling these one at a time, and dropped their listing. I haven't heard back from the other yet. I emailed them 5 minutes before writing this. If you see a price significantly lower than Amazon's on this item, send the vendor a message (click on their name in the item listing, scroll down till you see "contact this seller") making sure to send them the ASIN number from the product details section of the listing. Save yourself some trouble and make sure they are selling a dozen, not one. Or you can just order from Amazon and be sure you are getting a dozen.

Cheaper than buying from drugstores with the convenience of bulk buying. Another reviewer mentioned about the size being a bit smaller than the kind you get at stores, which is accurate, but it doesn't bother me either. This is the next best thing to having a loofah tree!

The product arrived quickly and is more or less what I expected. The loofahs are shorter than I thought they would be--I thought maybe they would be a few inches longer, but that is not really important. Virtually a life supply --given my age--of the product that I love.

Usually, I use those poofy loofahs that expand in size due to looseness after a month or two, and I decided to switch to a scrubber like this to see if it is better. I did hear that it's good for your skin and all of its mystical powers. It's great that it's "earth-friendly," too, but seeing that it's made in China doesn't really help with the whole eco-friendly vibe.

This doesn't foam up much and I feel like by the time I'm scrubbing my lower half of the body, it's already out of soap. I use about twice as much soap as I did before (probably a total of 1.5 tbsp if I had to measure). Maybe it's just that the foaming part of body washing is a psychological part of the process, but I still do feel like it would be nice to have more foam. I do feel clean, but it's hard to go rough on the skin when there's leg hairs with potential of pullage/plucking from the loofah. Unfortunately, I have about 11 more of these, so I'll find a way and never go back, or not find a way and ask my leg hairs for forgiveness... for the next 2 years.
