First off, I'm in my early 20's and have combination type skin with occasional, mild to moderate acne. I used nearly two whole ProActiv systems before switching to a Neutrogena kit and have found that this clears up my skin much better and faster. I find it very convenient that the Day Lotion includes SPF 15, whereas the ProActiv Repairing Lotion doesn't, even though ProActiv advises you to use sunscreen with their system when going outside. That would probably prompt you to buy their oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15 as well ($$ smart business move $$), thus adding another step to your skin-care regimen. I would recommend anyone with my acne/skin type who is thinking about subscribing to ProActiv to try Neutrogena first.

Anyway, the Neutrogena kit lasts around 5 months for me. I still get an occasional zit or two, but with less frequency than I did in the past. I use a Neutrogena Rapid Clear spot gel for that with success.

Word of advice: It might be best if you shake the tube of acne cleanser before you start using it. When I was finishing up what was left of the last tube I used, I discovered that all the "micro-fine beads" were gathered there, afloat at the very top somehow. I've been wondering where those were all along...

First of all, I understand that not every product will work for every individual. But, this one is far exceeding my expectations. I did some research online before I bought this. What I found was that what seemed to work the best for people was a combination of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. I looked at the wide array of acne treatments I had at home and they were ALL salicylic acid, but no benzoyl peroxide. I thought it was worth a shot.

I'm 35 and acne runs in my family. My mom still has it. I was starting to develop very deep, painful acne that would heal in one place and then show up in another place. I'm 29 and NEVER even had so much as a tiny pimple anywhere...until I got pregnant. My daughter is now 3 and I've been struggling with acne ever since. I get large, deep, cystic acne on my chin and sometimes on my forehead, and tiny, puss filled pimples on my neck, chest and back. I have difficult and problematic skin. I have adult blemishes, dry patches, oily T-zone, and VERY sensitive skin that reacts to most products. After reading about how great rose water is, I bought some at my local health food store to give it a try. I LOVE this rosewater and highly recommend it. I use it as a facial toner to soothe sensitive skin. It is perfectly balancing, cooling in summer (splash some on arms and back of neck), refreshes, and even seems to speed healing of irritated/burned skin. It is also great on hair, and I have a recipe for a leave-in hair conditioner that I want to try with this (rose water, aloe vera juice, almond oil, and essential oils). I have repurchased this and I will continue to do so. I think it is one of nature's essential remedies. Whether you use rose water as an alcohol-free skin toner or a cooking ingredient, organic is the way to go to avoid pesticides. I've ordered this Bulgarian rose water directly from the Alteya site many times over the past several years, usually two bottles at a time (2 X 500ml) to save on shipping. For my seasonally dry, always sensitive skin, it's mild and soothing alone as a morning cleanser or as a last step, after removing makeup with a cream cleanser, at the end of the day. It smells fresh and calming. It's the one skincare product I won't do without. The bottle's label is not the most attractive and I would prefer a flip-top lid, but those are very minor things in comparison with the product's value in terms of quality for price. This is BEAUTIFUL! I used to use Cortas brand for many years, but I always noticed it tasted a little soapy. It's the only brand I had ever tried though, so I stuck with it until now. I love the fact that this has the higher speed vs the non-professional and, it can go for 2 minutes for a longer cleaning vs only 1 minute on the non-professional. This Clarisonic has totally changed my skin! Thank God....something finally had to. The device stimulates the pores, removes make-up beautifully, and evens out skin tone quite well. I don't need as much foundation now, when I put my make-up on.

One bit of advice, if you use a facewash that truly lathers up, you only need a small drop of it on your clarisonic. If you put a lot of a lathering wash on, the foam will end up in your eyes less than half-way through the cleaning cycle... every time!

Super clean feel after using it! I read on another review about not getting an extra head attachment(a $25 value) because the "registration code had already been used" and it's true! I think they use ONE code and thats it. Pretty pointless to advertise it if it's not happening. I didn't bother to call. But the product itself is great and the speed is powerful. I bought this and used for a few days before having a severe allergic reaction all over my face. Severe swelling that burned for almost 2 weeks with extreme swelling for 2 weeks also. I could leave my couch for days due to pain and weeks due to hideousness. Stupidly, I was not quite sure if my reaction was due to this product so a few months later, I tried it again on my arm and the reaction was even more severe than the first time and had to go to urgent care to get on steroids, but probably should have gone to the hospital.

4 months now since, my arm still reacts to unknown irritants, meaning the allergic reaction has lasting effects.

This product may work fine for you all, but be aware, that even organic and natural can have severe effects.

I must have tried every acne medication known to man in the last few years. I am in college now and thank goodness I have my skin under control but very unfortunately this was not the case during high school, and as a result I was a pretty miserable and withdrawn teenager, to say the least. I'm using the All-in-one from Neutrogena now, but it's not a great substitute. The 3-in-1 is hydrating and has 2% salycic acid as oppose to the less hydrating All-in-1 with 1% salycic acid.

My skin isn't completely covered in pimples, but I am always breaking out, including those deep, painful ones. I got super diligent about my skincare a few months ago because I was tired of being in my mid-twenties with the skin of a teenager. In addition to keeping my pores clear, this salicylic acid preparation has worked better than finacea (azelaic acid) at reducing my skin's (especially my nose's) redness, which is caused by rosacea. In fact, my red spells have virtually disappeared since I started using this product.

Additionally, the acne stress control lotion is the only salicylic acid preparation I could find that does not contain significant amounts of alcohol, which irritates my skin. (Most preparations are solutions rather than emulsions or suspensions, and thus alcohol is required to dissolve the salicylic acid, which is not water soluble.)

Although this treatment isn't irritating or drying, it isn't especially hydrating; I still must use Cerave moisturizer afterward. However, I would much rather use a non-moisturizing treatment and then add my preferred level of moisture on top, than use a treatment that is too heavy.

My only complaint is that fragrance is added. It's unnecessary, and potentially irritating.

I suffer from mild-moderate acne and this creamy wash has helped my skin tremendously. I admit, my skin did get worse before it got better, however, I mentally prepared myself for that. I only use the wash once a day, at night, in addition to another Aveeno face wash to take off my makeup and what not. The wash is thick, creamy, and lathers well. I lather it on the areas of my face where I experience the most breakouts (forehead, cheeks) and wash for at least 1 minute. Careful not to get on clothes as it will bleach slightly. I also avoid my mouth and eye areas as it will mildly irritate them.

I simply love this product and will continue to use it. My skin is completely clear now and I have even noticed my blemishes/scars fading. It is definetly worth a try.

As I have been growing older it seems my face is going through changes too. I am more oily than I use to be and have some sort of break out on the forehead, sides of face & cheeks -not blackheads or really pimples. Use this product in the morning and evening seems to be helping. It does dry out my face -so be aware of that. I am not a very fussy person when it comes to beauty. I don't wear makeup most days, but do want to keep from looking like a Char Pei on a bad day before I'm 60.

Because of allergies, I've always been a Neutrogena gal, using their Healthy Skin line for years. I'm currently using the Anti-Wrinkle / SPF 15 with Retinol, which I've been happy with.

When the Olay ProX System became available through the Amazon Vine program, I really looked forward to testing an expensive anti-wrinkle system. When the box arrived, I was ready to throw my cheapo Neutrogena tube in the junk drawer and start slathering the high-dollar solution on my wrinkled mug, but then I got a thought, "why not do a side-by-side test?". Literally, the right side of my face would be Neutrogena, the left would be the property of Ms. Olay.

I started on May 29, right after taking a `before' photo. So nice to take a close-up makeup-free snap of yourself in bright daylight, such a wonderful way to start the day, but this was for science!

Every day (and night) since I've faithfully applied the three Olay products as directed to the left side of my face and neck, and done my usual Neutrogena in the AM and nothing at night on the right.

After a month, there is absolutely no discernible difference between the right and left sides of my face; well, besides the differences that were there already. I have the same amount of wrinkles, the same depth, the same age spots, everything.

In conclusion, I did not have any adverse reaction to the Olay products. All three felt good on my face, never oily or heavy. If I had seen any results at all, I would be happy to continue using them and paying 4x the cost of the Neutrogena Healthy Skin cream. However, without results, I can't see any reason to spend the extra money just for nicer packaging.

To give some background, I am a middle aged woman who is showing a little wear: crinkles around the eyes, a "surprise" line on my forehead and those wrinkles between my eyes. I have fair skin, not too dry.

I got the Olay Pro-x Intensive Wrinkle Protocol Kit about a month ago. The company says that this formulation works by making the outer layer of skin act younger by renewing itself more quickly and maintaining the moisture barrier more efficiently.

Here's how to use the kit: After washing the face in the morning, apply the 30SPF lotion. Then, on the "deep" wrinkles, like around my eyes and on my forehead, apply the deep wrinkle cream (in the tube). Then apply makeup as usual. I found the lotion to be very moisturizing. I had been using Bare Escentuals powder foundation, but found that I couldn't use it while using the kit because my skin was too moist and the powder "clogged". Instead, I mixed some cream foundation with the lotion and applied it with a makeup sponge. At night, again, after washing, slap on the anti aging cream from the jar, followed by the deep wrinkle cream on the forehead and eyes.

Did it make my wrinkles go away? Nope. What it did do was soften their appearance and give my skin a nice dewy look. I liked the SPF in the lotion and the way the deep wrinkle cream smoothed out my crow's feet.

I enjoy using the kit and it does make my skin feel and look softer, but it hasn't removed any years (more's the pity!).

I cannot stress enough that you should test this on a small patch of skin first before using. Especially the tube of anti-wrinkle cream. On my second day of use, I noticed small blistery bumps around my eyes and on my chin. I stopped using the products immediately and washed my face thoroughly, but the skin irritation got worse. I tried calling the toll free number on the box but was never able to reach a live person because their phone system kept disconnecting me. I eventually sent an email and the reply was that if needed I should see my doctor. The blisters got worse, broke open, and it took over a week for my face to completely heal. I was really disappointed, not only in the product but in the customer service from Olay. Even though there is not a warning on the box telling you to test the product before putting it on your face, I really urge everyone to do that. I sure wish I would have!

Of course I was somewhat skeptic about the idea of a product that will help minimize and reduce wrinkles, but I am a believer now. My husband gave me this kit for my 41st birthday...yes he gave it to me as a present. Any other woman would of sent him to the doghouse but I actually asked for this.

I have tried Avon Anew products but had a bad reaction to it. My face swelled and felt numb. Since then I have been using Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer Lotion. It leaves such a smooth silk feeling on my face. My husband is always "petting" me now. LOL

Just after one week I can see dramatic results. The crows feet are less noticeable and the wrinkles on my forehead are smoothing out. The smile/laugh lines around my mouth have not really changed, but I truly believe with continuous use my face will appear 10 years younger in no time. I have no no adverse reactions to the formulas and they have a clean refreshing scent.

My husband made the mistake of purchasing this kit from a well know retail chain and paid full price. Amazon by far offers the Olay products for the best prices around.

UPDATE: I t has been over a couple months and I can honestly say I see a dramatic difference. My laugh lines around my mouth, crows feet and wrinkles on my forehead are about 75% less noticeable. My face is younger looking and healthier, which overall gives me better self-esteem about my "real" age.

I purchased this kit online at Target, $10.00 off. I had been using the Olay Definity line and thought I'd give the Pro-X a chance, especially with the discount. The wrinkle smoothing cream is sticky for quite some time, at least it is on my face. But, it's smooth as butta in the morning. :) Both the wrinkle smoothing cream (nighttime) and the Daytime lotion with SPF 30 seem to improve my skin. Two age spots, on my cheek, were lightened previously with the Olay Definity line. The Pro-X line seems to have almost taken the spots out completely. I didn't think that was possible. On the downside, I had to stop using the deep wrinkle treatment. It caused redness on my crow's feet area, like a mini sunburn. I was on the Olay website and Olay called me when I mentioned the redness in an oline chat. The lady sent me a coupon good for a free Definity product, which she thought might fit my skin type better. I like the Definity line, even the smell. So, I might use both the Pro-X and Definity line, or simply go back to the cheaper Definity line. Definity seems lighter when applied. I'm pleased overall, but is it a better product than Olay's other lines? Debatable. Honestly, I wish Olay didn't have so many lines. Multiple lines drives me nuts. Regenerist, Definity, Pro-X. I just want something that works that won't empty my skin care piggy bank.

It is a very runny texture, which makes it not easy to use. I also didn't feel like it did what the product claims to do. Used it a couple times and never tried it again.

I have very pale skin, and this instantly gives me a healthy glow that looks like I've spent some time in the sun. I wish I could use it all over! I have dry skin in winter, and oily in summer. Finally, a facial cleanser that works for me! I have spent the last six years on a quest for a facial cleanser that I could call my #1 and I've finally found it. At a young age I developed mild eczema, most likely inherited from my grandmother, and that means I have dry skin all year round. Not only does my face have the tendency to dry out, but it also is really sensitive, a bit on the oily side, and redness has been a problem for me for years. I cannot tell you how many facial cleansers I've gone through with disappointment. Clean & Clear, St. Ives,, Neutrogena, store brands, expensive brands, too many! With some of them my skin would get red after use and when I stopped using them I'd break out horribly. With others I my skin would literally burn after use. I had given up hope of finding a cleanser that would work for me when my mother and I were browsing through Target and she, being the penny pincher that she is, beelined for the clearance rack and picked up this small bottle of Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel that was marked down. I simply rolled my eyes, not able to even think of a facial cleanser that would be different from all the others I'd tried. She tried it that night and insisted that I try it once. One month and another bottle later and we're both extremely happy with it!

I literally noticed a difference after the first use. My face felt noticeably softer. A month later my face is softer than it's ever been, doesn't get dried out like it used to, and my facial skin tone has actually evened out a bit. I noticed some people on other review sites have complained about the gel consistency of the cleanser, saying it feels like slime on their face. Well, I don't know too many people that can honestly say they've had slime on their face, but I can tell you for sure this does not feel like slime. Slime is thicker, sticky, a lot like mucous. This is very soft, almost like a light lotion. At first I thought that this stuff could never clean my face well enough because I was so used to thicker cleansers with exfoliants in them. But this stuff did the trick! It keeps my pores cleaner in between my weekly pore strip sessions than any other cleanser I've used. It lathers up nicely on your face and doesn't slide off like some cleansers do, but stays on so it can soak into your skin a little before you wash it off. There's no fragrance and no harsh chemicals so it's great for sensitive skin and the vitamin B5 is what softens the skin so nicely. I'm seriously hooked on this stuff. Some people can't leave the house in the morning without putting on their makeup or straightening their hair and I can't leave my house without washing my face with this stuff now. If I could give this product six stars I would! This is definitely going to be a staple in my bathroom for years to come. Thank you, Simple! (:

My go-to face washes over the past 5 years have been products made by C.O. Bigelow. Unfortunately, C.O. Bigelow tends to change its product line-up every 2-3 years. It has now discontinued my face wash, and hasn't produced an affordable replacement. I will probably switch to this Simple face wash once I deplete my C.O.Bigelow wash.

The Simple wash is a decent daily cleanser. It removes my light makeup & doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. My face is fairly sensitive & the Simple wash is not irritating. Simple wash is not intended to replace a "deep" clean product, and, it is probably more effective when used in conjunction with a toner (to hit those pesky T zones). After about 2 weeks of using the wash, I think it is good enough to eventually be my go-to product when my current stock runs out.

Simple face wash is a thick, clear gel. If you are eyesight challenged, you may accidentally squirt too much gel into your hands & have a mess on your hands. My biggest issue with this product is the container. Because the wash is a clear, thick gel and because the container is designed to sit on its lid, the gel, once opened, really wants out. The container left a big messy goo pile on my bathroom counter, even after I cleaned up the cap & tried again. I have to store the bottle sitting up in a separate container just so I don't have a mess to clean up.

If Simple changed its container design, I'd give this product 5 stars.

I couldn't wait to try this on my dry winter skin. I normally use a bar soap, Olay Ultra Moisture Soap with Shea Butter (2 bars), because I love a lot of lather and feel like it really gets all the makeup off and cleans my face so I wanted to see how a wash gel would work. The Simple brand is wonderful! I followed the instructions and splashed my face with warm water, used a dime-sized dollop of the gel and then massaged it into my entire face (even my eye area). It lathered up nicely and rinsed off easily without leaving my face with that tight, dry feeling that is typical for me. Usually I have to rush right to the moisturizer and slather it on, but when I use this I have a less pressing need to do that.

The Simple line does not contain any dyes, perfumes or irritants that can "upset" the skin so it just leaves behind a nice, smooth clean. This product would be great for those with sensitive skin. Since my skin is dry, that was the most important aspect for me -that it cleaned well and didn't make that condition worse. I definitely will keep on using this and recommend it to others. It is unscented, which may or may not matter to you.

I have super-sensitive skin which frequently breaks out when exposed to oils and perfumes and anything even mildly harsh really. This is aggravated during the winter when the cold winds and dry air chaps my skin.

So I was fairly apprehensive about trying this product, but I really like the Wash Gel and Toner that Simple puts out. The Wash Gel I found to be very gentle, and basically unscented. And while the description says that you should create a small amount of lather, the way I've been using it, it has never lathered. It has though removed all signs of makeup. And it's left my face feeling cool and refreshed. Really. I'm not sure what's in the wash but my face felt cool.

That said, it did dry my face a tiny bit. Now during the summer I would have no problem at all with this. A tiny bit of drying would, in fact, be a nice feature. But this winter (and at my age) I don't want any drying, so I'm sticking to Noxzema until after the humidity levels rise again.

I do recommend this. It is very gentle and pleasant.
