Ultrasonic Skin Scrubber with LCD Screen

Ultrasonic Skin Scrubber with LCD ScreenI am a professional esthetician and I ordered this to add a little more to my repertoire. After watching a few videos on how to use it and reading the enclosed manual I felt pretty confident. So far i have only tried the "peel" and "clean" modes but I look forward to using the microcurrent function as well. My client said that her skin felt really soft after the "peel" and she liked the fact that her extractions didn't hurt using the "clean" function. I asked her several times throughout the service how it felt and she said that it kind of tickled mostly but be sure to have the skin REALLY wet b/c it was not terribly comfortable on dry skin. The only issues I have with this machine is that if you move it too slowly or leave the corner on a comedone for too long it gets super hot b/c of the vibrations and the sound waves are slightly piercing and it would be nice to have a cordless unit b/c I already have a zillion plugs to deal with. I have heard that more expensive machines do not have these problems and I will purchase one in the future but for now this one will work. One thing i have noticed is a little different is that you have to be touching the panels on the sides in order for it to work and it kind of freaked me out b/c then you get the piercing noise but once I got used to it I was fine.

**Reading the previous post about the girl who got pimples after using this machine; It seems to me that there could have been several issues that led to her problem.

1. If you do not clean the unit properly with alcohol after each use and dry it all the way before covering the blade, it will harbor bacteria.

2. Deep exfoliation can bring pimples that were deep under the surface up and out (which is annoying but a good thing in the long run)

3. Pimples can be caused by any number of things: Diet, lack of water, using incorrect products, stress, hormones ect..

4. Exfoliating and peeling too often can leave your skin vulnerable to bacteria and can strip your skin of its natural oils too much which can lead to excess oil production in order to keep your skin protected

**I would not quickly blame this machine for the problem but first look to user error

Love love love this device! I have a Clarisonic Pro, which I still love but I use this spatula when my skin feels really congested, especially around my forehead, nose, and chin area. Once a week I give myself a facial using a creamy glycolic acid face wash followed by a pumpkin enzyme peel mask to help loosen the pores.

The peel function is great for a quick clean and to get rid of any residue left over from the mask product. I use this function about twice a week as a once over after washing with my cleanser at night. It also helps to get rid of any flaky skin. It seems to do a better job at exfoliation than the clarisonic.

The clean function is awesome for deep cleaning. It really extracts the plugs out of the pores. It's kind of gross to see them wiggling out as the spatula vibrates them out of the pores. You have to use a lot of water and a slight hand to keep from hurting the skin and causing red marks during the extractions. It does get a little hot if you don't use enough water or toner while doing the extractions. I use a spray bottle to mist while doing this. My skin looks a little pink afterwards but it goes away after several minutes.

The tone function is awesome and most effective after using the peel and clean function. I used my anti-aging serums and then use the flat part of the blade to push the products deeper into the skin. The blade gets warm and vibrates gently. The products seem to work so much better.

The lift function is subtle but amazing. You don't really feel much except for a tingling sensation on sensitive areas around the eyes. You have to pull the blade on the flat side in an upward motion and the micro-current tightens the muscles underneath your skin and help to slightly "lift" the areas that seem to sag w/ age. I notice a slight difference above my eyes. They look a bit more open and my eyebrows look a tinge higher.

I've been cleaning my spatula w/ 70% rubbing alcohol after use and letting it dry before putting the cover back on the blade.

Overall, best $60 I've spent. It's so much cheaper and easier than leaving the house to get a facial.

I have used this products a couple times already and I am quite pleased with it. I love the fact that you can set the timer for each process. This way the skin is not overly stimulated. After using the clean mode my skin feels baby soft and my pores are clearer. This is a great product.

Great product to use. Results are noticeable. Two faults, after the first use I noticed that it runs even when not holding the chargers and the plug is loose and keeps falling out. I pretty much just hold the cord against the product to avoid the constant disconnection of the cord from the device. Not sure if this should happen. It does get warm on the face but not unbearable. My face feels soft to the touch. I use it 4 to 6 times per week. My face looks as if I have light make-up on even without make-up.
