Clean & Clear Advantage Oil-Absorbing Cream Cleanser, 5 Ounce

First off, this is NOT a makeup remover lotion nor does it say that it is anywhere on the bottle. For that it doesn't deserve a bad review.

Secondly, NOT ALL products work the same for every person.

Thi product review is purely of my own experience with the Clean and Clear Advantage Cream Cleanser. I have battled with oily skin and acne from halfway through high school until presently (mind you I am nearly midway through my 20's). No matter what I used, (ELF, Avon, St. Ives, Neutrogena, etc.) nothing worked long enough to even start really fixing the problems. I never tried Proactiv since I heard so many bad reviews bout canceling orders and payment issues. A dermatologist was my last result, but I was highly aginst going even with my horrible acne. I only used this product as my mother referred it to me and boy am I glad she did!

I have religiously used this product along with the Acne Spot Treatment and Mark Treatment, 95% of the time twice daily, for three weeks now and I have never seen such great results in all my years of oil/acne treatment product usage. With any product you do have to use it at least twice a day so don't let this drive you away.

I used to have extremely oily skin and now I only wake up with the smallest bit of shine, but only on my nose. My skin is oil-free throughout the day, which is better since I work outside and that is less junk to be trapped in my pores.

As for the acne treatment side, this has worked just as well. Within the past month I have broken out worse than probably ever in my life and my skin is so much clearer, my acne has been reduced to small red spots (why I use the mark treatment). No matter what anyone has told me, certain foods DID make me break out. I have not had any new acne since the start of using this product and I am even eating the foods that did make me break out.

I haven't noticed my skin drying out even with the excessive usage of all three products so I opted not to use the moisturizer. I have nothing negative about this product. It is cheap enough to try. I just started using the Black Head Treatment so I will review on that as well. I hope these products work just as well for everyone else!

After using their previous oil control product called Finishes Mattifying Cleanser and loving it, they discontinued it and replaced it with this. I was sadly disappointed, it did not deliver any shine control and actually seems to make my pores larger.

I can't attest to the blemish fighting power since I hardly get any in the first place. I've stocked up on the previous product which I find at Big Lots until I can find a new product that actually controls shine or they bring back the previous product.

I have been using this cleanser for about a week now. While it does control shine and absorb oil, it has also caused me to break out! Very rarely do I ever have a problem with breakouts, so I know it must be this cleanser. Buyer beware!

After about using this for a week, my face was even more oilier than it was before!! My nose is not really shiny, but after using this, it reflects. Really. It was gentle, but it was not for my skin,my whole face was shiny!
