I have been using this cleanser from Lancome for many years, after having tried many over the years. It is as it is advertised; gentle yet effective. It will take off the heaviest eye makeup with no residue. It leaves a clean feeling and doesn't dry the skin. I have very senstive skin and find it to be the most gentle, without a strong smell. I use a cotton ball to apply effacil to my upper lid, and a cotton swab for eyeliner and to clean up the bottom lid. Using the product like this, It lasts for a very long time, so the price is really worth what amount of use you get. If you are considering this product, I think you will be very pleased once you try it.
