I LOVE my Clarisonic Mia! I noticed a smooth, soft face within days of using the Mia. I did not experience any breakouts from using the Clarisonic. However, I did continue to use my regular face wash. It did dry my face out a bit, so I would skip a day from using the Clarisonic, and that seemed to help. After two months, I can use the Clarisonic everyday without experiencing any dryness. I will never go back to soap, water, and a washcloth!
