When you use several different skin care products it's hard to tell whether any one of them is really responsible for the condition of your skin. I'm 54 with combination skin and after a lifetime in Florida my face is relatively unwrinkled (thanks to genetics and sunglasses) but blotchy in tone and with some age spots. My face care routine for the last several months has been to use a lightweight moisturizer with SPF in the morning under my makeup and at night I use a serum followed a few minutes later by this Lancome Absolue product. There has definitely been considerable improvement my skin tone has evened out and the age spots have faded a bit. Don't get me wrong there hasn't been a miracle and it's still obvious when I don't wear makeup, but my skin looks and feels much better. So even though I don't know for sure if this product is the cause of the improvement I have to say I really like it a lot. The creamy consistency is awesome and the light fragrance is pleasant but not even close to being overpowering.However, the price is obscene and that's why I took a star off this review. I ended up getting this after falling for a hard sell at the Lancome counter and it has lasted me over a year (I didn't use it every day, though). You do get a generous amount and a little goes a long way, but it's still awfully expensive. Now that I've finally finished the jar I'm going to try some cheaper alternatives and see if I get similar results. I may end up buying this product again if I'm not happy with others, or ask my DH to buy it for me for Xmas. I could probably tell myself that the length of time it lasts help bring the cost down and satisfy my conscience, but I just have to try cheaper options first.
I do recommend you try it if you can get a sample size or if you have some extra money to spend and need/want a high quality moisturizer. Everyone's skin is different but if you enjoy high quality skin products then you should like this.
