Once I put the brush under the faucet, it smelled strange (like a wet animal). I thought adding soap would help take away the smell...that only made it smell like soap and the strange smell. After using it twice I noticed many bristles laying in the bathtub afterward. The bristles also lost their shape and flattened out. When scrubbing my back the second time I felt a slight burn...am I scrubbing that hard? I don't think I would reccommend this to a friend.

I have used this back brush for years and love it. I used to buy them at Bed Bath & Beyond, but they no longer carry them, so I searched for them online and found them on Amazon.com. They are a bit rough when you use them for the first time, but after the first week, the bristles begin to soften and give you a more comfortable back scrubbing. Other back brushes are far too delicate for my preference, so I hope the manufacturer will continue making these. Depending on how much wear you put them thru, they last approximately one year. The bristles eventually flatten and begin to looked worn and mangy, so you will want to replace it. i bought this brush actually to help me get thru a shoulder injury..and was i impressed..so impressed that i bought 2 more for gifts....then 30 minutes ago my daughter called me and asked where i bought it as her friend wants one..I would never be with out it!!!!
