If you have tried every other hair product out there, and your hair still refuses to "do right", then I highly suggest the pantene pro-v hairspray. With just a small spray of this product, you can style your hair and "tame" it just like you want. Additionally, if you are not fond of the "helmet" look, all you have to do is gently run your hands over your hair and the product will neutralize, taking away that 'shiny" look. If those premises sound good to you, then by all means, give it a try!

Um, I have hair. LOTS of it. Wavy /curly hair that length helps to weigh down and control somewhat. However, as most girls with curly or wavy hair know, humidity plays horrible games with the flyaways and short hairs about forehead, ears and nape. The natural waves also lend to "poofing" (for lack of better term) regardless of length when humidity spikes. This product does not stop the humidity from causing the curly flyaways in my experience.

Though, it will hold regular style on non -humid days. So, for hairspray it works. But, so do many othets that are much less costly.

For antihumidity product not so much.

American Crew men's products are pretty good. The Tea Tree products are particularly nice because of the 'tingly' cleansing quality and pleasant fragrance. I think different types of hair require different products. For me, having thicker hair, this conditioner is just fine and works as a daily product. I think that is just about as much as a male can say about hair products.

This had been the only product I have used that releives my dry, ichie, flakey scalp. My Doctor recamended it.

My hair is like if Rapunzel was a male and her hair wasn't hair but instead of river of silk and amazing blended together in the appearance of hair, this is all after using this product with the AC Tea Tree Shampoo.

I'm a guy who never really paid attention to the brand of shampoo/conditioner I was using up until the past 6 months or so. I have always used different shampoos/conditioners, the latest being Garnier Fructis, and I was never really completely satisfied with any of them. Garnier was wayyyy too greasy and strong-smelling.

Shampoo

(First, I'll note that Burt's Bees Moisturizing Raspberry and Brazil Nut is my favorite shampoo but I buy this one when I can't get my hands on the other...)

Years ago I was a sales rep for a cosmetic ingredient company. Meaning I didn't work for any cosmetic companies specifically, but sold the ingredients to large manufacturers through a broker. Because of this, I learned a wealth of information that I've taken with me though that career has long since past

(for example, did you know almost every acne medication is the exact same thing if it's over the counter? Even the expensive proactive ones. You can only put 2% salicylic acid in it per law over the counter. They are all this with other inert ingredients or 10% benzoyl peroxide and inert ingredients. Just buy the cheapest and read the labels. Proactive, for example, has the same active ingredients as the two buck grocery store acne meds...but I digress.)

I learned much about Burt's Bees during this time because of their lip balm. I was unable to sell petroleum based ingredients to large manufacturers because petrol ingredients (yes, such as vaseline) are illegal in many countries as they've been found to be a carcinogen. Because most large companies sell to other countries they had to buy more expensive, but more healthy ingredients. Vaseline type petroleum is dirt cheap to sell so it's still used and fought for widely in the US...to make a buck. Petrol cosmetic products are expected to be removed in the US in the upcoming years as they are currently being re-tested by the FDA. Unfortunately, this is a fight and takes many years. Yes, you read this right...Vaseline, which we slather on our babies, cannot be sold in most other countries due to the petrol based products found to be carcinogenic. Because of this, even though I don't use lip balm, I tell my friends who do not to use chapstick.

As for shampoos, what I learned from the cosmetic scientists and companies changed how I buy them forever. Did you know we are the ONLY country who buys shampoos with Sodium Laryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate in them in such mass quantities? These are the exact same stripping agents used in FLOOR CLEANER. But it's for marketing. Americans equate foaming with clean so those that foam less, even if they work better, don't sell as well...so the majority of companies add them in because they are big foamers. But they are HORRID for your hair. However, in the past two years I have seen more knowledge in the US on this and finally I'm beginning to see "sulfate free!" on some bottles and on commercials. People are finding out.

Sulfates completely strip your hair and cause breakage. Once I started going to Whole Foods or Central Market and buying my shampoos without it, I never stopped...even though it's been years since I learned this. Every time I get my haircut somewhere the stylist says "you are lucky at your age you don't have to dye your hair" or something to that effect. I always say "but I do dye my hair. I actually have tons of grey underneath this dark brown." and they say "but your hair is in incredible shape and is really shiny. Do you not blow dry it or use a curling iron?" and I tell em I do that too.

The difference is I don't strip out all the moisture with my shampoo!

Also, if I travel and use a shampoo with sulfates I will see my dye run out of my hair that the sulfate-free shampoos kept in. Because of the stripping properties, your hair dye, if you use it, will last a far shorter amount of time with shampoos containing sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate. Sulfate free shampoos will help not only retain moisture, but color as well because there is no stripping.

But I need good cleaning shampoo mind you...I work out hard 6 days a week.

This, fortunately is good for your hair, offers good cleansing, and is non stripping. The other ingredients only make it better...very natural and GOOD. My hair gleams. I've found a handful of shampoos that measure up to my knowledge and this does.

Negative? Still hard for me to track this stuff down at many grocery stores.

I have very fine somewhat thin hair, and I really had high hopes for this product, especially after having read good reviews on this site and elsewhere. I love all Burt's Bees products, but unfortunately this shampoo didn't do much in the way of volumizing. The smell is great, and the non-chemical formula felt great on my sensitive scalp, but after the first use it just made my hair greasy. (This could be because it is somewhat difficult to tell if you've gotten all of the shampoo out before you dry your hair...since it's all natural, it's got a different type of lather than other shampoos.)

I'll probably use the rest of the bottle since it smells great, but there's no way I can use it every day (or even every other day) since my fine hair just gets greasy. I won't buy it again. (The conditioner, however, was pretty nice. I can't condition every day, but it's perfect to use on the days I do condition. Not too heavy, nice texture, smells great.)

EDIT: When I wrote this review, I gave the product three stars...I decided to try to finish the bottle to free up room in the shower, and needless to say, I was quite surprised when my hair seemed to grow accustomed to the product and started to feel stronger and look nicer. I'd like to change my review to five stars, with the caveat that you should give your hair some time to adjust (as in more than 3 or 4 washes...at least, if you have hair like me). I now love the shampoo!

I will admit I was a bit hesitant when I bought this shampoo. Sure I along with countless others have fallen for the other Burt's Bees products, but shampoo? I was looking for paraben free products, not to mention Ammonium lauryl sulfate. Anyway I stumbled across this shampoo and while I am not nuts about the smell, it doesn't last long enough to worry about. I'm not saying it's a bad scent, it just doesn't suit me. This is the only downside of this shampoo in my opinion. It has a wonderful lather! I was shocked by the amount of lather actually. My hair is shiny and it FEELS healthy as opposed to just LOOKING healthy. And for the first time in my life I can comb through my hair quickly after a shower. I feel it is important to mention that my hair is almost to my knees and wavy. Being able to comb is like a dream. It takes me a couple of minutes with no snags versus spending a half an hour of tugging and pain. I agree with the previous poster about a little goes a long way. You need less than you think.

To sum it up...try it if you don't want to use shampoo with parabens, and want gorgeous hair!

Great product. It is terrific to use if you are having a hot flash but it also works if you need to cool off in a sweaty situation. I use them after the gym when I don't have time to shower.

I am a 42 year old female who lives in the Northeast where it gets very hot and very humid in the summertime. Due to the medications that I was taking this year for allergies and asthma, I was much hotter than usual. I tried various different products to try to make myself feel cooler as it was so bad that it was preventing me from doing many of the activities that I wanted to do outdoors. I saw this product and decided to give it a try.

Basically, you are buying a cardboard display (like you would see in a retail store) which contains 100 individually wrapped packets of the cooling wipes. You open a packet and pull out the wipe (it's white and looks like a baby wipe). You are supposed to rub this over your wrists, neck and behind your knees in order to get the maximum cooling effect. It is advertised as a citrus smell, but when you first put it on, it is very strong menthol smell! As this fades, you can smell the cirtrus but only slightly.

Regarding how it works...it definitely cools you off. It works almost instantly and the effects can last up to 30 minutes to an hour, depending on conditions. If you are in a situation where you can't get into air conditioning, this may be right for you. For me, I couldn't get over the strong menthol scent and ended up giving these away to my neighbor who loved them. Based on my experience, I would suggest that you do not buy the 100-count product but try them out in a smaller quantity first.

Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash Deep Cleans + Refreshes Facial Cleansing Gels

My only complaint with this product is that it has made my face dryer than usual. I actually have sensitive skin that is also combination oily But...it has dried my face out in certain areas and it kinda makes my complection dull. The product does a great job keeping me from major breakouts but I still have to slather my face in moisturizer and due to having oily skin..I am not used to doing too often! But still 4 Stars!

I did a lot of research trying to find a good wash for my oily but sensitive skin. I was using Burts Bee's acne solutions but it wasn't working. I had a lot of tiny bumps on my forehead (clogged pores) that didnt really amount to pimples but bothered me because of the bumpy/ uneven appearance, and it was literally all over my forehead. I also had a very shiny, oily forehead and nose, with pimples and blackheads on my cheeks. My face would be a grease slick after a half day of work and I couldn't stand it. Now for the good part:

The first week I started using Basis, I was amazed, my face felt refreshed and clean and my forehead would not get so oily during the day. The second week I was starting to doubt it, because I could yet to see any results, my forehead looked a little better but not much different. The oil was under control so I was happy with that and kept using. The third week I started to have my doubts, several large pimples (which I usually dont get) sprung up and wreaked some havoc. I kept washing morning and night with the wash, hoping this was just getting all the bacteria and stuff clogged up in my pores, out, finally. It worked, because once I got rid of the pimples and kept washing with this, I was amazed how quickly they went away, the next day it would hardly be red and the day after that it was mostly gone. Usually if i get a large pimple it will take a week if not more to get rid of it completely. This made them disapear and quick, also, no more large pimples appeared after that. I am now to the point in that time of the month where i would normally Break Out, badly. A few strays, but i see no signs of my normal monthly skin freak out. My oily forehead is under control, my nose is smoother, the pimples on my cheeks are mostly gone except for a few stray blackheads which are getting fewer and farther between, and they dont come back after you get rid of them, whereas before they would always return! I'm very happy this product worked so well for me. It smells great, the mint is very refreshing, didn't break me out, gets rid of the oiliness and pimples for me, and overall my skin is very smooth and soft! i love to touch my cheeks now! Thats the best part, those bumps on my forehead and cheeks drove me crazy, now i can feel how smooth my face is, and its amazing!

I didn't really have high hopes for this cheap product but I was so surprised and this is now my favorite cleanser! It's light but it cuts through makeup and oil like no other. In 2000 my brother and I were on the onset of puberty induced acne and this product was recommended to him by our doctor. I've never used anything else since.

As opposed to the bar, the gel allows it to better clean all the crevices and pores on your face to wash out any dirt or grease. It is a fantastic cleanser that never irritates or dries out my skin, yet is the most effective tool for getting rid of make-up, grease, and dirt.

It's brightest moment in our long history together was in high school when I would use it to completely remove costume make-up and various paints worn to sporting events from my face in ONE wash, as opposed to multiple washings with soap and water and then vaseline to remove it all.

I've spent an obscene amount of money on facial products in an attempt to help my combination skin calm itself. Basis cleaner clean is light, it smells good, and it actually feels nice when you are applying it. It gets the job done for me, and I can use it multiple times a day, unlike many products because they end up drying out your skin.

I always use a moisturizer afterward, personally, I like cocoa butter.

If you want a good daily facial wash, I would most definitely recommend this product. I have not tried their other items though. The only issue is I always have to order this online. I have yet to see it in a store. eBay does not have bad prices, but shipping usually makes it about the same.

P.S. the healthy skin rejuvenator by neutrogena works well for cleansing too, but you can't (or at least shouldn't) use it everyday.

It just did not work for me. For the full 2 weeks that I used it (on my face) it caused a rash all over my forehead and hair line. I have tiny red bumps all over and I NEVER break out with these types of bumps unless my skin is irritated. I guess I had an allergic reaction to the tea tree oil. The tea tree smell is very strong, but I like it so it doesn't bother me. It foams pretty well too. I kept trying thinking it may help clear up the rash but it only made it worse so I just had to stop using this product and return it :( It can be drying too so make sure to use a good moisturizer.

The face and body wash is working excellent for us. We have no problem with it, but others. We found it at Wholefoods, but cheaper here.

This is a great product per se and it used to come in a great hard plastic cylindrical container that held its shape and was easy to manage in your shower stall. Now they've changed the container to a soft, mushy toothpaste-tube-style container that can turn your shower into a frustrating experience. Sometimes you have to struggle to get the cap open, unlike its former container. It is difficult at times to get the product to come out in the shower without having to squeeze it multiple times, each time simply deforming the container into a new shape. If you do succeed in getting some out, it's often a tiny amount and you have to squeeze again to get out an adequate amount. Unfortunately, since you have to grasp the tube so that its opening is in the palm of your hand, that tiny bit that came out the first time has mixed with the shower water making your hand slippery. The next squeeze of the tube sends it flying. Be prepared to pick this puppy off your shower stall floor dozens of times before the tube empties. I really should have given this item 1 star because I'm never buying it again until the original container comes back.

This body wash contains Tea Tree and has a nice refreshing Tea Tree scent. It almost smells minty. I think for people who have never used Tea Tree products, it can probably smell overwhelming, but we love it. I try not to use this everyday though because it can dry out your skin a little, but it's perfect for me in the summer and at the gym.

I am on my 2nd bottle, the first one I used twice a day even though you do not need to can be used once a day. For my 2nd bottle I will use once a day. After mixing the powder into serum you have to refrigerate the bottle. It is nice and refreshing especially in the morning to put a cool feeling serum on your face.

I can tell the difference. My skin is smoother and I have more of an even tone. This is more for preventive or for those that do not have much wrinkling yet vs if you have really have deep wrinkles I have been told you need stronger stuff which I have not gotten into yet.

I would recommend this stuff.

I ordered this because it is all natural, and I don't want to put chemicals on my skin. It leaves my skin a little dry for wintertime, but I think this will be my go-to moisturizer for the summer.

I love J.R. Watkins products so I took a shot with their face cream. I have pale combo skin that's pretty sensitive and gets dry in the cold months. This seemed to moisturizer but didn't "glide" on and felt heavy on my face. Doesn't have the greatest scent either (not like I was looking for an unnatural perfumy lotion).

Will keep as backup or give to my boyfriend, just didn't work out as my everyday go-to moisturizer.

I wish I had found out about it much sooner than I did. Makes me feel refreshed and has not made me break out at all which is great because almost every face cream makes me break out! I don't think it smells like chlorine at all, like another reviewer suggested. It has a light floral/citrusy scent that fades away quickly because it absorbs quickly. I am totally in love with this stuff. If you have problem skin, I highly recommend this. :)

Since I loved J.R. Watkin's lotions and scrubs so much, I decided to try this. And just as I thought, it was everything I hoped for; relativity cheap (especially compared to other brands), 100% natural, chemical free, and best of all, it works wonders and makes my skin feel oh so soft. The product isn't that big, but it's not tiny either, and a little does go a LOOONG way. It is not greasy and it made my face feel so silky soft all day.

But... the smell. ugh, I hate it. The smell reminds me of chlorine somewhat. It's not over powering at all, but it's still not pleasant. I have extremely fair sensitive skin, and a severe sun allergy. The best way to avoid my skin breaking out in hives at the slightest sun exposure is to take good care of it.
