After using this for the first time, I noticed a difference in my skin. My clogged pores were cleansed and looked smaller, and also my skin overall looked brighter. When I saw my boyfriend later in the day, he asked what I did to my skin, because he noticed how much it improved as well. So, I have some Lumene products that I really like and there was a deal on this so I decided to try it out. I didn't realize that it was a tingling sort of mask. I really don't normally enjoy those because I always associate the tingles with burning.My cheeks are fairly sensitive and I avoided those completely, unfortunately, it still tingled too much for me wherever it was applied. I had to wash it off before I could even allow it to dry.
I was really disappointed in the product and myself because I really love masks. Perhaps, a different one will be a better fit.
I guess I really can't say if it does what it say's it will. This is just my personal experience.

I've suffered from acne since I was in high school. I wouldnt say it was bad, but I did get big pimples here and there and it would always leave a scar. I worked in the cosmetics department in Macys, with having to constantly wear makeup, it did help my skin. I've tried everything from your local walmart to expensive cleaners from Estee Lauder, Clinique, Clarins and Origins. No results. I finally went to the dermatologist about two years ago. She recommended this face wash to me, a VERY EXPENSIVE ointment and just regular spf 30 sunscreen. Within weeks, my acne went away, I got smaller bumps but those only last about a day or two. People compliment on my skin all the time, its no perfect, yes I have an occassional pimple maybe once a month but thats nothing. Although a nice non-sudsing cleanser, the pronounced orange sherbert fragrance if off-putting. I read reviews of citrus notes. Also, the concentration of glycolic acid is very low. I've been using this shampoo for nearly 20 years now. I can't believe it's been that long, but it has. It's great, gentle on my hair, smells nice, and I can't think of a reason to complain about it. My biggest fear is that Nature's Gate will stop making it!In the past, I have bought it locally by the gallon, along with Nature's Gate conditioner. Lately, the local outlets don't carry the gallon size, and I have had to order it from the counter. That it smells great cannot be emphasized enough, like high-quality incense. The scent lasts for days yet it's not over-powering. Wonderful!For about two years I used Whole Foods 365 brand plain ol' shampoo. It's vegan/cruelty free, and I liked it because it was cheap & simple: my hair's a rebel and shampoo gimmicks like Volumizing or Balsam & Protean don't phase it, it just keeps being fine, thick, brown, and a little fly-away if I don't use a light styling butter. This gel is fantastic for soothing chafed skin. I alternate it with the Tri-Derma diaper cream when my daughter has diaper rash. I haven't used it yet for sunburn, but I expect I'll have an opportunity this summer, since both of my kids are outdoors from sun-up to bedtime.

I've always suffered from mild acne but in the past year of so it's really flared up. I've tried a butt-load of products ranging from ones sold in drug stores like neutrogena to proactive, none of which have helped. Burt's Bee's Acne Purifying cleanser didn't clear my skin 100%, but it helped a lot and what is left is not nearly as bad as it was before. It smells nice and lemon-y. I've also found that it's most effective when combined with the toner and the blemish stick. (BTW I LOVE the blemish stick). If you're on the fence, it's worth the try. They are also sold in a mini trial kit ($14 for small versions of the cleanser, toner and spot treatment) for those of you who wish to try it out before committing to a large bottle ($10).

I've probably used a lot of Acne face wash products over the years. I've used the cream based ones, but those don't really work on the oil. I've used the Burt's Bees acne gel a few months ago, and it's worth it. I first bought it in a store because it was natural. That store had it for around $10, so I switched to other acne washes. Those didn't work that well. They either dried out my skin, or made my face even more oily. One of those had Microbeads, and I think that made it worse. This Burt's bees wash is light. I wet my face and use about a nickle size portion. When I smooth it on, it's like rubbing in soap. There isn't a lot of foam, so that's a big plus. On the performance side, that make it easier to wash it off with water. I don't use this every other day, and my skin been dry or had many acne breakouts. Using other products, I had a lot more acne. Probably because those dried out my skin or made it too oily.Performance (5/5)

It's also a natural product if you're into that. That wasn't a huge detail to influence my decision, but it could be a plus for others. I'm about half way through my first bottle, and it's been about 3 months. That means I'll have to reorder in 6 months. Not bad for the price. Everyone has different skin, so I'll leave everyone to form their own opinion. All I know is that it works for me, and the price is better than the retail stores.

It has alot of quality ingredients in it, but I was surprised to read the label and discover mineral oil is the first listed ingredient. Mineral oil?? I don't understand why a company would use mineral oil in a formula that contains so many other awesome ingredients. I understand it is cost effective for the manufacturer, but why skimp on an otherwise quality product? I will use this product, and then most likely go back to DHC cleansing oil (it is olive oil based). I got this cleanser as part of a Christmas gift set, and I fell in love instantly. It takes a tiny (less than pea-sized) amount to fully cleanse your skin, and it leaves a clean, not "stripped" feeling. The fragrance is fresh and light, and afterwards, your face is really soft. I tried a 'tester' of this product at gift shop and liked it so much I decided to order if. Apparently very popular and hard to keep in stock as the gift shop was sold out! It's a fabulous fragrance although the smell did not particularly remind me of Eucalyptus or anything else not sure what, but it's divine. I did not immediately love the fragrance but did notice that the scent tends to change and deepen after several minutes of wear. Long lasting, I could still smell it on my hands after washing my hands. The lotion has a thicker viscosity, more like cream than lotion not at all watery, it's nice and creamy and thick. I would love to have the entire line. I think Thymes used to make a shampoo and conditioner but have not been able to find it. If you like spa scents this is the one! This one will definitely be a staple in our home.I would love to know if anyone has tried the body spray fragrance and if it smells like the lotion and lasts as long.

While I love many of The Thymes fragrances (including my recent fav, Frasier Fir), the scent I have loved for years and used religiously is Eucalyptus. The Thymes lotion is not too heavy or thick (and not greasy), but is also not too water-y or thin. I think of it as the perfect weight "body" lotion, something good for use on your hands just after a wash, or on your body after a shower. My favorite product is the Eucalyptus shower gel, as it smells heavenly and opens my sinuses! Please note, The Thymes Eucalyptus body lotion is NOT as strongly eucalytus scented as Molton Brown's Warming Eucalyptus shower gel. I prefer The Thymes Eucalyptus products. I usually don't write a review for any product but felt this was necessary. I first tried the 16 Oz Sweet Almond Mint and loved it! I have longer medium thickness hair that is curly when air dried. I noticed a dramatic reduction in hair loss (hair in shower, on my brush, etc). Also, my hair was really soft and shiny. If I were to rate the Sweet Almond Mint it would be 5-stars, hands down.I went to order the 32 Oz and at the time Amazon didn't have Sweet Almond Mint in that size in stock, so I ended up ordering the Lavender. You would think that the scent shouldn't make much a difference in the actual results of the product but it does in this case. I have noticed my hair is more brittle, dry, and I lose more hair on this compared to the Sweet Almond Mint. I've learned my lesson and will now just stick to Sweet Almond Mint. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the different scents do have different effects.

I read reviews from probably 10 different websites before I bought this product. Other reviews were very helpful (they warned me to not order via the website) as those who have suffered from billing errors and issues with customer service. As usual, the ordering process via Amazon was amazing.Now onto the product I have fine hair and the past couple of years it has changed a lot. By the end of the day I am just a grease ball! It's really gross. I talked to my family practitioner, my gyno and a dermatologist. The first two docs said it was hormonal changes since I'm in my mid-20s now. The dermatologist had me trying all sorts of fancy shampoos for dandruff and problem scalps and nothing has worked...so I gave in and purchased Wen.
I always take my time when using it and literally follow the instructions down to the finest detail but am disappointed in the results. Ads claim that it makes hair fuller, have more bounce and body, and is great for "problem" hair. It probably is great for "problem" hair but not all issues like they claim. I can see it being great for women or men who have thick, unruly hair with flyaways...but this stuff is awful on fine hair (despite the commercials and ads that say it's great for all types). I will admit that it did make my hair very soft and I had fewer tangles during the day...but it made my hair even greasier...even with following all instructions.
It wasn't the worst experience in the world I am only giving it a 2 mainly because it's pretty expensive for not working as well as promised. I won't buy this again.
On a sidenote for those of you going through what I am...I got shampoo from Kiehl's a week ago and LOVE it! :)

I have never relied on sample packs to try out a Chaz Dean product since I knew about them. I knew there was a money back guarantee. For a long time I used Fig and Tee Tree (scalp issues which it helped), but sometimes the Fig was a little too heavy for my hair. I read the manual from an order and tried Lavendar and ordered a 32 oz. bottle and never looked back. (I have highlighted hair.) It cleans without stripping. Lately I've been sick to the point that I can't wash my hair that often. So I simply wash 2 or 3 times lightly with the heaviest wash last. WEN is a really rich conditioner, not a wonder product. It smells like a spa (more rosemary than lavender)...the smell is surprisingly mild, and goes away instantly. The pump was broken, but I replaced it. The required number of pumps is ridiculous. You might as well plan to use an entire bottle each time you wash your hair. I tried using less, and then more, but it didn't make a difference.I had no issues washing my hair without suds. My hair didn't feel stripped, but it didn't feel clean, either. It felt like when you wet your hair when it's really dirty, but don't wash it. Stiff and icky. Rinsing was a bit odd, because my hair never felt clean. When dry, I had zero shine. A bit less frizz, but seemed identical to washing my dirty hair with my standard creme conditioner rather than shampoo. Felt filmy, even though I rinsed properly. My hair had no smell, no bounce, nothing. I tried it a few more times and by the end of the week, my scalp felt dirty and oily, and my hair looked pretty awful. I then washed again with regular shampoo and conditioner and my hair is back to normal. All I can say is my hair actually feels better with regular shampoo, sulfates and all. An expensive lesson. It's a good thing I tried the smaller (cheaper) size first. I think this is one of those products that works for some people but not others. Perhaps it has to do with hard vs. soft water or different types of hair. Oh, and the name is really stupid.
For reference, my hair is medium length, medium texture. More thick than thin, slightly wavy, and tends to frizz on the top layer due to repeated hair coloring. It's exceedingly average, so I feel I'm a good test for most hair products.

First of all the color is white not green. They are lightly rough textured so it does not feel like you are rubbing off your skin, just a gentle scrub.I would not use it on my face. Not soft and doesn't lather soap well. Also stiff and not really absorbent. I like the ubiquitous knotted poly sponges better.Save 27% Off
