I absolutely love this product. I am African American with natural hair. The ph balance is perfect and LABELED! Truly amazing results as far as moisture and feel go. After a long search for a good moisturizing shampoo & conditioner, I have finally found something that I am very happy with. My mixed texture hair was so dry, it was frizzy and hard to tame. I used Joico Moisture Recovery, and my hair never felt softer and looked any more shinier until now. In my opinion other products I tried would work for only a short period of time. Not with this. I've had over eight washes and each time I have noticed a continuance of improvement in the way my hair looks and feels. The shampoo is not too sudsy, which provides a gentle lather to anyone with brittle hair.
