I have used Avalon Organics shampoos and conditioners in the past year, LOVED them, but stopped because I find them a bit pricey. I recently purchased the same 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners I've used in the past and they are HORRIBLE!!! After just one use, my hair is so dry and brittle and I have long, very healthy hair. I can not even run a comb through my hair with the conditioner in. I am so disappointed in these products and with the company. I called Avalon Organics directly and asked if they changed their ingredients and was told that yes, they have changed the formulas in their shampoos and conditioners. This was not advertised on the bottles. I was offered coupons but no refund. I no longer would recommend purchasing Avalon Organics products.Hi-I have been using this Avalon Shampoo as a face, head, and bodywash for whenever I travel to hotels (40x+ yr.) for the past three years....it is generally far better than what is there and it "wakes-me-up" with modest mintiness. At home, I often use a few drops to wash my face. Despite, it's label as a "Shampoo", it is mild enough for my face. The only other brands that have this peppermint in good quantity are the Dr. Bronner's which is very strong, a Walgreens brand (Rosemary/Mint large) which is cheaper and good, and the over-priced expensive designer brand, which will go nameless. I like the container because it fits into my tumi toiletry bag pocket, does not leak, and is not too insanely over-priced. I use the Walgreens more at home to cut costs. I use the Dr. Bronner's to REALLY wake-up...it burns if left on for more than 15secs or so undiluted....great for deodorizing those annoying underarms.
BTW they also sell this at Whole Foods Markets along with the other type.....I also like the lemon or orange extracts. The have it labeled in different bottles as bodywash, shampoo, handwash, etc...but I think they all the same and get whatever is cheapest.
SInce Whole Foods is quite a trip from my house, this Amazon 3-pack deal is great with the shipping (save on gas). Oh, Trader Joes also used too or does carry some Avalon products but now I am not sure.
Hope this Helps!

I like other products made by Avalon and the shampoo does not disappoint. I love the invigorating peppermint essential oil, and the shampoo leaves my hair feeling soft and manageable. I particularly appreciate the nontoxic ingredients, and also noticed that my hair has stopped falling out as I am no longer picking it out of the shower drain.Read Best Reviews of Avalon Organics Biotin B Complex Thickening Shampoo Here
This shampoo is especially great if you tend to sweat and have oily or greasey hair. Use once or at most twice a week and it really gets your scalp and hair squeaky clean. The smell is great and it does not burn your scalp or face if it runs down. I have very sensitive skin and scalp and this is just wonderful for a super clean feeling without stripping your hair. Since I also color my hair this is important. It does not seem to strip out the color but does clean. I highly recommend this product especially if you can't get the Pantene Clarifying.Want Avalon Organics Biotin B Complex Thickening Shampoo Discount?
I tried this shampoo after searching a long time with much trial and error with other shampoos trying to find something which worked to give my hair a fair amount of bounce without drying it out to the point that it would sound like cracking straw when I would handle it. This shampoo thoroughly cleans my hair and leaves it so shiny! It is like a shine product rolled into the shampoo so you just wash and go. I prefer not to blow dry my hair and just like to wash and go. This shampoo together with the Ylang Ylang conditioner make my hair look amazing. I often get compliments from people about how shiny my hair looks. I only wish the shampoo was cheaper but I do appreciate that it is organic!
