Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Shampoo

This is quite a good shampoo for fine hair. I did get a lot of volume, but it also made my hair feel a bit dry at the ends. I've found LUSH's Big shampoo to give me the volume and it makes my hair feel healthy and silky as well. This is still good, but not quite as good.

I have fine but thick, straight hair that doesn't ever want to keep any kind of volume for more than 5 minutes no matter what length it happens to be. I can curl my hair, but the curl is gone at the same time as the volume. I have used many variations of Redken, Matrix, Paul Mitchell, and more. I would have to wash my hair every day because it gets oily and looks dirty if I leave it for one day. With the Fekkai, I can go one day without washing and not look like a slob. The shampoo and conditioner make my hair keep its volume for at least the next 10 hours. It will also keeps its shape all day. I love taking my hand through the back of my hair and feeling that there is still volume.

Another good product to use is the Fekkai Root Lifter. I use it on my towel-dried hair and then blow dry. My hair keeps its style all day when I use it but doesn't weigh it down, make it greasy, or stiff.

I got this along with the conditioner for my hubby who has fine hair. He has tried many "volumizing" products in the past with no results at all. Boy, does this deliver! We live in Chicago and are currently in the hot, HUMID dog days of summer. Not only does his hair look THICKER by a lot, but humidity does not affect it, and his hair looks great after being out in this awful weather a lot during the day. Fekkai has our allegiance. (I have coarse, curly awful hair and LOVE the shea essential line of fekkai for myself. You realy do get what you pay for.

Extremely happy with this product. Definitely adds volume and bounce to my fine, thin hair. Remember that volumizers cut down on shine, if this is important to you...however, I really can't say I see much difference in this area. Will definitely purchase again!

I got little sample bottles of this stuff from a hotel in Vancouver, BC. I really like how clean my hair felt afterwards, and that it felt bouncier as well (can your hair feel bouncier?) Left my scalp feeling a little tight a couple of times, but once I had gone through the bottles, my hair/scalp had gotten used to the ingredients.

Not my favorite volumizing shampoo, that is reserved for Redkens Bodyfull line, but the closest thing to a runner up other than Aussie.
