My family uses a lot of lotion especially with winter coming. I am the kind of person who washes their hands at least a dozen times a day. Between dishes, laundry, bath, cooking, regular cleaning, etc., it seems as though I am constantly washing & drying my hands. It has totally taken a toll on my skin, and I have had a hard time finding a good lotion to help repair the damage...until now.I found the scent to be pleasant, not strong and lingering. I could even use my own perfume after applying it. Furthermore, almost immediately it penetrated my skin and left it not feeling greasy or sticky like many of the glycerin ones do. After trying Mineral Renewal for almost a week, I decided it worked.
This formula contains vitamins B5 and E, for those whose skin needs a boost. Features Ferngully scent including blend of sparkling citrus and red currant berries, pear and rhubarb, and enlivening flowers and spices. You might not appreciate all the technology that goes into each bottle, but you will see the difference on your skin. You will just see great results and this is a great product. The key thing to remember is that the lotion absorbs into all those layers of your skin, so none are neglected. The lotion is easy to like. It's housed in attractive, blue and white plastic bottles with a pump or flip top featuring a plastic insert to signify one of three types.
Aside from that, I've also noticed that I don't need to reapply every time I wash my hands, which I absolutely love. I've been using this lotion for about a week now, and my skin is so soft. The damage to my hands is almost completely gone. This lotion has a great texture. It absorbs immediately into the skin. When my hands got wet, maybe 10 minutes later, I did NOT have that slimy feeling you get with many lotions. My skin had a "supple" feel--not dry,not greasy or heavy or wet. I only gave 4 starts because I did not care for the smell. To me it seemed sortof medicinal (from the minerals?). I prefer a citrus or light floral scent. However, when my 10-year-old daughter used it, she thought it smelled amazing. Personal choice, I guess. Anyway, This is a very nice, all-over body lotion, and I recommend it.

I've tried two of the Vaseline Sheer Infusion Body Lotions, this one and the Botanical Blend and I have to say I like them both equally well. They absorb quickly into my skin without that greasy feeling you get with some lotions, they make my skin feel softer, more flexible and I think they give me a healthy glow. I've been using them for well over a month now and I am very, very satisfied. UPDATE: August 2010:We like this lotion enough that we continue to buy it in preference to other brands. I think that says a lot.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I have used many different kinds of lotions... Eucerin, Aquaphor, Curel, etc. I like to spend time outdoors and a good lotion/ointment can be very beneficial.
The big deal here is the alleged (and patented) "Stratys 3" complex. Which promises to moisturize each layer of your skin. The lotion does work above average, but its difficult to say how much better it is because of this complex.
Scent: Not neutral enough for me, but its ok.
Left my skin feeling: smooth, but not greasy.
Moisturizing: Above average. We've all used those crappy hotel moisturizers, or those "bath and body works" cutesy scents. This moisturizer definitely outperformed those.
Longevity: Above average, but I think slightly less than aquaphor (which can leave you feeling quite greasy).
Value: Fair
Overall: it came across as a high quality moisturizer. Everyone in our family has tried it and has reported that it was satisfactory.
How about the mineral renewal? Well, maybe I would be able to report on that with extreme, long term usage. But as it stands today I feel its not possible for me to isolate this feature and identify whether it provides a real value. it could just be marketing hoopla.
Want Vaseline Sheer Infusion Body Lotion, Mineral Renewal, 13.5-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2) Discount?
Vaseline Sheer Infusion lives up to its assertions: it provides relief for thirsty skin with super-moisturizing ingredients, disappears into the skin leaving no greasy residue and makes the skin feel silky and smooth. However, the fragrance is very strong, not unpleasant but it is not the type of fragrance I like to wear. It also lasts a long time. So even though I loved the moisturizing effects I didn't keep using it because I could not get used to the fragrance. Therefore I cannot testify to the long-term effects of this lotion. Those who like the fragrance will be delighted! If there was a fragrance free version or another choice of fragrance I would definitely try it since I really liked the feel of it on my skin.
